"We had about 21 extended family members staying in the large farmhouse. The property was gorgeous! There was plenty of room and beds to accommodate. "We picked this home to have a central location close to the mountains for hiking. The home was beautiful and exactly as pictured. It was very clean. I love the small touches the host included around the house such as board games for some of the other children with us and baby books for my infants. "Whiffletree Manor House is A beautifully preserved, but still updated house. Our out-of-town guests couldn’t get over how nice it was, both the overnight guests and the ones who came to a baby shower we had there. Not only is the house lovely but so are the grounds, there’s even a swing hanging from one of the trees to make it look that much more picturesque. We would definitely rent this house again for when we have people visiting. "

"The property is gorgeous, and was in a perfect location for us! The hosts were lovely and have clearly made an effort to make guests comfortable. The bedding was amazing and kitchen well-stocked. We loved the proximity to the animals - chickens, dogs, sheep and cats all around. We did not realize prior that two of the bedrooms are through a separate entrance but easily made it work. The only detractor was that the cleanliness was a little spotty."

"If I could give more than 5 stars, I would definitely do it. The cottage is all you can dream of. Better in real than on the photos. I wish we would have stayed much longer (4 nights) as it was such a beautiful and relaxing cottage. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the sun room. The location is great, just a short 15-20 min drive to Shenandoah National Park. The cottage has everything you need and more. And finally, the host Judy has been so accommodating. A big thank you to such a great host....
