"This was me and my husband's 1st time staying with Crewe Botique and it was very comfortable. We were in town for a wedding and needed to stay for 2nights. It was such a cute, small but comfortable place to lay our heads. Thought it was so convenient to have a diner nearby by on the same lot. Loved that breakfast was free! I was able grab a yogurt, bagel and orange juice before heading out which was nice. I would definitely stay here again! Staff was very friendly as well! "

"Perfect in every way! We had a wedding < 2miles away. 3 60 something Moms stayed here and got to visit with a bunch of 30 something “kids” we watched grow up together throughout the years. It was wonderful and host was most accommodating. Same moms plan on coming back for quiet weekend again."

"A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied."

"Such a lovely stay!! Everything was comfortable, clean, and lots of space to relax and unwind. I don't usually book a shared home, but was sold on the animals. Homeowners were so sweet checking in on us when we arrived while also granting the privacy expected for a booking. Just perfect. A highlight of our stay was the walk to the pond. One of the baby cows, we named Roo, came to greet us and was so precious letting us pet him. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"My family loves Deer Hideout Retreat! This was our second stay. We love how well equipped the place is, it’s super clean, and the property (with trails!) is beautiful. The hosts have put a lot of thought into their guests’ comfort and have added so many nice touches. Check in and out is easy. If you need to get away, this is the place to go!"
