"The pub, the food and the drink are very good indeed, but the accommodation side of things is not quite to the same standard. It's ok for a quick overnight there, but... the TV didn't work, the bathroom light flickered, the bathroom heater was broken, the walls are paper thin so you hear everything from next door and there's general wear and tear. The info folder had leaflets in from 2015 and 2017 so no recent attention there and the online photos are a little rosier than the reality. There's a tourist board sign on the wall saying 3 Star - mmmm, maybe at one time in history, but suspect the sign might be there yet the accreditation no longer! Other online reviews capture other points. It's basically an old fashioned Travelodge set-up, but with just a little more investment, effort, know-how and attention to detail it has the potential to reach the standard of the pub side, which it felt like is where the owners main interest and effort goes and the rooms are more like a case "well seeing as they were there when we got the place, suppose we might as well still do it" kind of thing."

"We have had a fabulous stay for our Sons Wedding at Alrewas Hayes.The accomodation was magnificant for us to be able to host the Groom and the Groomsmen and partners - we could not have asked for more. It was comfort & luxury personified.The owners kindly accomodated our requests and the house was brilliant for activities in a lovely setting.The surrounding area is very pretty, with canal walks and a nearby local pub.We can not recommend Sandy Hill Farm highly enough.Candice & Martin"

"The toilet was blocked when we arrived. It was too late in the night for us to change rooms so didn’t mention to the front desk. We kept flushing and eventually it cleared. We mentioned on check up for them to check it and the person just said it was a slow flushing toilet. We know the difference. He wasn’t interested in what we had to say. When we arrived there was no hygiene sticker on the toilet. Also one of the bath towels was filthy on arrival. The bed was clean, no complaint there. It was a shame that we weren’t listened to and apologised to. "

"The flat was nicely furnished and very comfortable. Heating by electric panel heaters was efficient and quick to warm the place. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a basket of cereal boxes, biscuits and a jar of sweets. There were also tea bag’s and coffee pods for the machine. The beds were very comfy. All in all a very welcoming and good place to stay. 4 stars not 5 because the heated towel rail didn’t work making the bathroom chilly ( a very cold weekend weather wise) and the WiFi although showing the usual blue bars would not connect whatever we all tried. To be fair, I notified the host about the towel rail but not the WiFi. When ever I contacted Phil the Host he was very quick to reply. "

"Stayed here during the summer, breakfast was great, we were given a menu and a choice of continental selection. Breakfast cooked fresh so we booked again. Sadly this time we were greeted with a breakfast buffet which wasnt the same. Therefore we would not be in a rush back, hopefully the cook will ge brought back "
