"Friendly, helpful and very accommodating front staff. Breakfast was great - lots of options - especially like the variety of breads, jams and eggs. Beds were very comfy. After a long and busy day at the sights and museum in Caen, we arrived about 7 pm expecting to have a nice dinner and a glass of wine. Unfortunately the dining room was closed because they were hosting a bus tour group. Ugh!! rather disappointing - the staff suggested several local restaurants or take out. So we decided on a pizza take-out and when I went back down to the desk to have them help me order, the kitchen staff took pity on a little old lady and made us a very nice meal with salad - and a big glass of wine. That was a sign of "above and beyond" and very much appreciated. A suggestion would be have a portion of the restaurant partitioned off for guests who are not on a tour - even just a portable type screen. Interestingly enough we were from Canada and we could hear the people in the tour group talking about "back home in Canada" The dining room is beautifully appointed - outdoor patio looked very inviting - just that the weather didn't cooperate. Liked the parking lot - felt safe leaving the car overnight - rather than in a public parking lot or on the street. Very quiet - had a great sleep Would definitely stay again - and recommend it to others. "

"The Chateau de Bellefontaine is beautiful, romantic and a treat. Our "room" was actually a very large bedroom and very large bathroom. We felt like royalty. The grounds are something you read of in old novels. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The on-site restaurant provided a delicious dinner at modest prices. The location is a quick walk into Bayeux (so no worrying about parking in town). We enjoyed our brief (2 night) stay very much and would look forward to staying again."

"The check in was quick and straightforward , the receptionist was happy and helpful, and we made a reservation for the hotel restaurant. The room was compact but clean and had very comfortable beds so great for 1 night before an early ferry. The meal in the restaurant was delicious and served by the same lady whi was on reception. She was so busy dealing with both restaurant and reception, but she handled it very well and remained calm and professional and made time to talk to the customers. I am sorry i can not remember your name but i hope you downloaded the language app and continue learning. This lady was a credit to the hotel. We would definitely use if we were in the area again."

"This was a great cheap place to stay. The beds were comfortable, pillows were good. And the place was clean. Only dislike was the amount of people smoking in the halls and too.s and right outside our window! As non smokers this is really unpleasant. But in Europe it seems smoking is pretty common still."

"It was a nice hotel! Very clean. on the outskirts of Caen but there is a bus stop a couple of minutes away from it. However I would not recommend paying €6 for the breakfast. It is only bread and yogurt, definitely not worth €6 you could get much better for cheaper elsewhere. Other than that everything was great! "

"The hotel offers parking in the back of the building, which is a real plus. It's walking distance to shopping district, cafes and more. It offers a great base for discovering Normandy beach history. Friendly staff, clean rooms, pleasant enough. "
