"The property, both inside and out, was outstanding! The surrounding buildings, on the hill, are beautiful as well. The shower, in the Christina suite, was a great size and beautifully crafted and maintained. Loved the period, primitive, furnishings. Our suite came with complimentary breakfasts and I don't mean a continental one. Most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. The staff is wonderful, the staff that checked us in, helped with our breakfast, and brought us new cards because our first given had somehow been deactivated. The view from the adirondak chairs in the "yard" was wonderful in that you could see the river and all of the surrounding architecture. The coupons for tastings and a complimentary dessert were appreciated. Will definitely share with others about our stay."
"The room was very clean, and the amenities in the room were great. My attic room was wonderfully cool, which is exactly what I needed after two long, hot days.
I had called ahead of time to ask about the breakfast option, but when I got there I wasn't given any information about breakfast. I wasn't even told about breakfast at all. Also, I arrived a little early and called the number on the door to ask if I could check in at that time. The person on the other end said no, which is perfectly understandable, but there was nowhere for me to go or to put my stuff, even though when I called ahead of my trip, I was told that if I arrived early I could at least put my bags in the office until check-in time. The person on the phone sounded a little frantic, which I understand when trying to turn rooms over for the weekend, but they were also a little abrupt and almost hung up on me.
I understand if the Inn is short-staffed, but there have to be better solutions for when people come from out of town and arrive early. At the bare minimum, when answering the phone, the person on the other end could show a little compassion for having to climb up those stairs with bags in 90+ degree weather.
Despite this slightly negative start to the weekend, the stay itself was very nice and I enjoyed myself. I would definitely consider staying here again."
"The Cabin was perfect for our visit. Everything was clean and tidy. The horses were fun to interact with and the outside front deck had rocking chairs and an amazing view. Kitchen had everything we would need to cook meals and was well stocked with plenty of amenities. We will be back in the Fall!"
"The property was so nice and clean. It was very relaxing and peaceful for a trip away. The hosts were so kind to provide a welcoming gift and clear directions to get to the cabin. So thankful for the wonderful memories!"
