An Incan needle in a haystack!!
1) There should NOT 2 addresses on the website for this property:
The Av Ejercito listing is impossible to find since - despite the receptionist's insistence - the hotel
does not display a sign with it's name visible from this road
The 'Esmeralda Avenue' listing needs clearer direction to able to find it
2) With just 3 sentences any foreigner arriving to Cusco (perhaps in the dark) could find this hostel
3) The receptionist was kind enough to come to the nearest bridge - Puente Grau to find me
They do have Cable TV in English
The hostel is big, our first room was cold and dark. Our second room was bright with Windows. If you're lucky you'll get a sunny room. There was lots of confusion on the room we booked due to the language barrier. In the end it worked out. The hostel is a 10 min walk from the main square but we didn't mind the walk.
Basic but ok breakfast, twin room sufficient and clean. Location, felt secured and safe, 15min walking to the center. Staff very friendly, helpful and nice, lugguge storage available for free. All in all, recommended
Close to the train station. Close to restaurants. Close to the Machu Picchu Shuttle bus. More expensive than it's worth, but that's Aguas Calientes. Everything is overpriced to fleece the tourist.
