Very Good

The Mamasara staff was amazing and attentive. Unfortunately the area across the street is a little run down. Although breakfast is included, there is no option to eat lunch or dinner in the hotel. However, there are plenty of places to eat within a 5-10 minute short walk down hill. My friend who stayed with me had severe altitude sickness and I had to attend a dinner with a hiking team. The front desk manager went and got a bowl of soup and brought it to our room along with some oxygen for my friend/roommate. That is truly above and beyond customer service!
We only stayed one night as they were booked. Front desk helped us arrange a day trip to nearby ruins and sites like Salinas.

Liked: Staff & service
Further away from things, was dusty and not clean as other hotels we stayed. Public bathroom downstairs was always clogged. Breakfast was ok. Bathroom was small room was small. Didn’t have airport shuttle like advertised on Expedia from airport to hotel.
Staff is kind and overall accommodating. Nice breakfasts and just good people.

Pros and cons
Hot water issue. None in room 208 but there was hot water in 209 where the rest of our party was. Staff didn’t have any solutions. Also had difficulty getting staff to help arrange a driver for trip to Ollantaytambo. rooms are nice, clean and well appointed. Heat works in the rooms. Location to the center is great. lots of noise can be heard when there are people in the lobby/breakfast room.
Location is a bit far from the main square, but still walkable, if a little desolate late at night. There were very few people there when we stayed - maybe they cater to groups. Included breakfast was very good - lots of variety. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful - they helped us with arranging some local travel and making other recommendations. The wifi was only OK in our room, but good in the sitting area on our floor. Room was very nice, and pretty big. If you need laundry done, there are a bunch of options on the same street.
Nice hotel with a good (included) breakfast and very friendly helpful staff. Only downsides were wifi that didn't always work in the room and a location that is a bit far from the main plaza. Only a 10 minute walk, but a bit desolate at night if on foot. However the friendly staff helped with making travel arrangements, answering questions, etc. Taxis within main city are inexpensive, though
