Great location for the price. Close to the main plaza and great cheap eats nearby. Breakfast only had bread, jam, avocados, bananas and cereal/juice which might be annoying for some but it was plenty for us.

This hotel is in the historical center of Cusco, it is very convenient to walk to the famous attractions, the staff of the hotel is very warm and friendly, willing to provide thoughtful service and assistance to the residents, we were in a hurry to catch the early bus to Machu Picchu, Francisca specially prepared breakfast for us to eat on the way, here, a special thank you to Francisca, a trustworthy lady.

The beds are very confortable and the rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly. The hotel has 24-hour reception and is situated in the hypercenter, very close to the 12-stone wall.

This was a last minute booking for me, however the staff was super friendly and accomplished. Created with with coco tea and showed me to my room. Place was fairly clean and a decent one night stay. Location was convenient but front desk was very unfriendly, the older woman specifically. Young man who worker overnight was nice. Lock on doors suck and property needs an upgrade. Struggled with luggage checking in and checking out and no help was offered even with male and female staff around. Would not stay there again.

Ideal and cheap for solo travellers

It is very close to the main square and all restaurants, shops and tour companies are just couple of blocks away. The hosts were really kind to personally pick me up on a weekend since the taxi driver was not working on Sunday. I had to leave and come to the hotel at very odd times because of the tours start early morning (2-4 AM). There was no issue leaving and coming to the hotel at any time. The guy at the reception counter was very sweet. I did not understand Spanish and he did not understand English, but we communicated through the app. I would recommend la casa de mayte if you are travelling to Cusco and want a cheap and convenient option.

Francis the manager of the property was very nice and helpful in every way possible, she managed to booked my tours and I am so glad I did with her because I heard from other tourists that booked with other people how disappointed they were. That was definitely not my case, from transportation to food, Francis was the best to help. I saw her kindness with all her guests. I highly recommend her hotel. Thanks so much for everything Francis!!!!!!🙏 muchas gracias por todo. Usted siempre fue muy atenta en todo, yo definitivamente recomiendo el hotel casa de Mayte como el mejor lugar de Cusco!!!! We would have given 5 stars if not for some black mold spots in the shower curtains and shower walls. Personnel is friendly and very helpful. Also, the hotel is close to Cuzco's main square.

it is very basic hotel with minimum space and for competitive price. Room has just enough space for the bed/s nothing else is there, you have barely any space for walking. Room has a portable heater. Bathroom does have hot water but no other things are provided like shampoo, body wash etc. bathrooms drainage is not good, the water goes out very slow. And it has a smell. The hotel over all is clean. Breakfast is same exact thing everyday, we stayed for 5 days. One day we need to leave little early so we asked for some breakfast and The lady(Francisco) agreed to pack boxed breakfast for us. we told/texted clearly to her no meat, no ham, and she still gave us sandwiches with ham and cheese that we couldn’t use. Next door is some sort of club and 2/3 nights very loud music was being played late night until 11:30pm. Outside hotel is single lane one way narrow road which could be inconvenient to go in and out. If you are looking for a budget hotel and above things don’t bother you then go for it.

My only complaint is that I wished for the breakfast to be better like more options but I understant that will drive the price up. Other wise the place is great. A big plus they have is electric heaters in each room. We came from NY and I belived I was prepare for the cold night in the the winter months, but once you are in Cusco belive me you will want to have the heater next to you.
