"The room was spacious and quiet. The staff were friendly and polite. Dinner was good, breakfast was disappointing. My husband ordered smashed avocado on toast with bacon and poached egg. There was virtually no avocado on toast. The waitress was lovely and removed it from our bill. Was disappointing though."

"Easy to find and easy to park. Lovely warm welcome. The room was huge with a lovely big bed, sea views and a great shower room. Above all, it was clean and comfortable. When we speak about it, we call it the Lovey Dover Inn."

"A great place for an overnight stay whilst exploring the elan valley. Clean and comfortable bed plenty of hot water. A lovely evening meal at a good price. Being a lovely sunny weekend the pub was busy and there was a little noise outside but nothing that stopped you sleeping "

"We had an absolutely lovely weekend staying at The Royal Oak. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The scenery was breathtaking and we had a lovely view from our room. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. This is a traditional pub, very cosy and again nicely decorated but retaining its traditional charm. The landlord and landlady were extremely helpful. Above all, this is dog friendly accommodation, a must for us. We would definitely stay here again. "
