"The owners were very new. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The room was advertised with a kitchenette, and indeed, it did have one. However, there were no pots or pans, no utensils or plates or anything at all. The owners said things would just walk.away. We suggested having a basket with essential utensils they could give out at checkin. Also it was advertised as breakfast included, which the new owners said they were not aware of. "We had 4 couples and 4 kids, and booked almost 2 years in advance for the eclipse. The Rusty Rio is quaint and what it appears to be....a fun and "campy" spot. The only gripe we had was that when we booked, we filtered rentals that had hot tubs, and hot tub was listed as an amenity. It didn't work, and likely hasn't for many years. "Stayed two nights to watch the 2024 eclipse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool area with the chaise lounges was perfect for viewing and the river was a nearby alternative. We spent most of our time at the patio table watching the deer and relaxing. The kitchen was well-appointed and we cooked dinner both nights we were there.
