Loved staying here, place was nice and very quiet. Would recommend to anybody looking for a nice quiet place close to some decent shopping and plenty of outdoor stuff
Property was clean and easily accessible. HUGE yard for our dogs to run around in. Only issue was a couple of gaps in the fence, but we just stayed out there with our dogs. Very comfortable and close to Dahlonega.
The property was very cozy. The yard was a wonderful place for the dog to run and play. They have everything you need to be able to cook and serve a family meal.
House was as described - clean and well appointed. The dogs enjoyed the acres of land to run and roll around on. The house is close to Dahlonega, Gainesville and Helen, so there was plenty to do. We stopped by the Dahlonega farmers market on the first day for our produce and some amazing dog treats.
The home and property were as described. The host was very nice and quick to respond to any questions. The fenced in yard was nice for our dog. Downtown Dahlonega is charming, and there's also a nice little city park and reservoir nearby for short hikes and walking. It was perfect for our needs.
We had a comfortable stay at the home, along with easy communication with the owner. The home is exactly as described and shown in pictures and the listing!
It's in a great location in relation to the many wineries and vineyards nearby. Downtown Dahlonega is also a convenient, short drive away and fun to explore. And if you're looking for nature, plenty of hiking nearby too.
Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing weekend away from the hustle of city life!
Very nice house. Only downside was the master bed. Way too high for older people. They did have a step stool to help get into bed. The owner is very good to communicate with.
Nice location, not far from town. Very quiet and peaceful area. Loved being able to park in the garage. House has good space, nice to have two bathrooms. The couch is very comfortable and super deep, very nice for relaxing and watching a movie after a day of adventure. My cousin slept on the couch one night even as the bed in the second bedroom(futon) wasn’t as comfortable. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable and as other reviews said it’s VERY tall!! But there is a stool and it wasn’t an issue for us. House is decorated cute and it felt very homey. We had a small issue with a hair dryer and Justin (host) responded quickly and took care of the situation right away, really appreciate that level of communication and care. Would stay again if I was in the area. .
It was nice for Justin and Stephanie to open their home up to us. The little extras give it that down home feeling. There are a few open spots in the fence that were a concern for me being we had our dog with us but the property is big enough that he didn't wonder by them. Justin was very attentive to my questions and a pleasure to correspond with. The house was in a great location for the area. We enjoyed our stay there.
Decided to visit Dahlonega for their Art & Wine Festival, and needed a nearby place that was dog friendly. Couldn't find a place any better.
Things we loved:
- Huge, gated and fenced property
- Convenient to downtown Dahlonega and other nearby sites
- The house has a number of modern features.
- Quiet neighborhood
- Access to park in the attached garage.
- Use of remote openers for both gate and garage.
- Home is super dog friendly with bowls inside and out.
- Koi pond
- Rocking chairs on the front porch.
- Welcome snacks on the dining room table.
- Easy to find the wifi and password information.
Things you should know:
- The title isn't far off, as the master bedroom bed is extremely tall. We had to go buy a 2.5' step ladder so my 5.2' wife could get on the mattress.
- The bed in the second bedroom appeared to be a futon, do that wasn't a viable option for us.
- Though the property is fenced, be aware there are a few gaps, so you won't want to leave your pup exploring unattended.
We only had one hiccup during our stay at our arrival, but got in contact with the owner and quickly sorted things out. So no need to go further into that.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. And would definitely return if our plans brought us back to the area.
And seriously, you have to get a load of that bed!!
