There were knats, trash wasnt taken out someone left their piss test with pee you cup in the kitchen trash beds are uncomfortable and trash was under bed but communication was good but the house she of been clean

We booked this home through VRBO for a much-needed escape, but sadly the experience fell far below expectations. While the house is beautiful in structure, it was filthy upon arrival. We had to clean it ourselves—dust on all surfaces, dog hair everywhere, bugs, dirty bathrooms, greasy appliances, wet/soiled linens, and a cloudy unusable pool. The outdoor kitchen was filthy, but the spa was heated as requested, which was a major deciding factor for our stay.The backyard photos appeared staged or digitally rendered—in reality, the yard was unfinished and waterlogged from multiple leaks, making the space unusable. Some guests even left early due to the conditions.While the host, Melissa, was responsive, she was also defensive and dismissive, offering no apology or solution. She relied on outdated cleaning photos that didn’t reflect the true condition. Despite our efforts, no reimbursement was offered, not even the cleaning fee. VRBO reviewed our case and agreed with us, issuing a partial credit.This home has potential, but cleanliness and accountability were sorely lacking. Future guests: request updated photos and confirmation of amenities before booking. A beautiful home is meaningless if the experience is this poor
