"Nice location and a clean place to stay. But if you are planning on walking to the ancient city of Sigiriya it’s a 30 min walk from the hotel. Not a 1 min walk as advertised. The service was good but the food was at best average, specially dinner “À la carte”. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety which was good but the food was average. Good for a short stay."

"Very expensive stay for not much facilities. Staff barely able to understand requests. No timely answers for queries before we arrived at the property. Staff do not go out of the way to make your experience pleasant at all. Breakfast was below average. For the expensive pricing, you would expect a better spread, but no. Cleanliness of property is also below average when you compare with similar properties in the price range."

"This is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay. The rooms are excellent, the food wonderful, the staff incredibly accommodating and the natural habitat in which the Other Corner is situated forms perfect backdrop gor wildlife including a birds. The resident wildlife and naturalist Dhilip is a fount of knowledge and made the stay even better. The organic garden and lake are also a bonus. The Other Corner makes an excelllent base for touring the national parks, ancient cities and Sigiriya."

"This was the worst place we stayed on our trip in Sri Lanka and probably the worst on my travels around Asia. "The staff and management is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were subpar but clean enough. No aircon which was fine but no hot water either. The showers were non functional and no buckets were provided till requested. The property is isolated and tough to find. However for the price and for someone seeking a secluded no frills stay with kind and helpful staff I recommend the hotel."
