Within walking distance to the sandy beach, this 2 bed/1 bath half duplex features central heat and air conditioning, and a private, tropical zen-inspired patio. Get away from the everyday and escape to beach luxury right here!

The beach cottage has been designed to provide you with similar luxuries to a resort-style hotel. Bath and beach towels are provided for your stay. The primary bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, ensuring a comfortable and restful night's sleep. The second bedroom offers two twin beds, perfect for accommodating additional guests or family members. The living room boasts a comfortable queen size sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, allowing the entire home to sleep up to 6 people. Each bedroom comes with a plush pillow-top mattress, crisp white linens, and plenty of comfortable pillows and blankets. Need to do laundry? We've got you covered with a full-size washer/dryer along with laundry detergent and dryer sheets fully stocked for your use.

Central air! The majority of the homes in this area do not have air conditioning. We've got you covered with central heat and air conditioning. No matter what the temperature is outside, we will make sure you are more than comfortable inside!

Gourmet cooking is made possible in our fully stocked kitchen! We have everything you can possibly think of for cooking up a storm—an assortment of cookware and kitchen staples.

Entertainment is made possible in our open concept living room! The beach cottage has been designed for your ultimate entertainment experience with an open concept living room/kitchen. The living room features a flat-screen TV, DVD player, an assortment of classic movies on DVD, and a Bluetooth speaker system.

The private, enclosed, zen-inspired patio is your own tropical oasis! Furnished with comfortable and stylish patio sofas, a patio dining table, a cozy hammock under a palm thatched hut, a BBQ, a lush tropical garden, and games like corn hole and full-size Jenga, you might not want to leave the house.

Looking to take a bike ride down to the beach? We've thought of it all. The beach cottage comes with four top-of-the-line beach cruisers! There is also an assortment of beach equipment available for your use—everything from surfboards, body boards, beach chairs/umbrellas, and coolers.

Location, location, location! The beach is a 0.5-mile walk. Capistrano Beach borders Dana Point's beach, and the famous surf town of San Clemente. Grab one of the beach cruisers and take a short ride down to Dana Point Harbor or San Clemente Pier.

Mom's Getaway

The cottage is a great getaway. We spent the weekend recovering from raising teenagers! It was very relaxing. The cottage is stocked with everything you may need. We enjoyed the backyard. The beds were comfortable. The location is great for walking. We walked to both the park and beach daily. We were also close to yummy restaurants and Trader Joe's. Thank you for an easy and relaxing stay.

Beautiful and Spacious

This property was beautiful, inside and out. The living/kitchen area was very roomy. The kitchen was well stocked, and appreciated access to items, such as, dish and washer detergent. Highly recommend!

Perfect Beach Rental!

We stay in vacation rentals often and this one was one of the BEST! It was very clean and stylish, the beds have duvet covers which is a MUST for us when traveling, all the amenities we needed and a few sweet surprises that we weren't expecting! This home is fairly close to the beach and a short drive to our favorite beach town, San Clemente. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Just what the doctor ordered!

Family issues brought us to the area and while we wanted to be close to family, we also wanted a place to have our own space as well. This was the perfect solution. Pleasant quiet neighborhood.

Overall happy with the experience except for not having comfortable beds. Would’ve liked a king size in the master bedroom. The twin mattresses were very short and uncomfortable as well. Backyard space was lovely. Kitchen well stocked except for all the sharp knives were impossibly dull.

Stay in Capistrano Beach Cottage 2

Great reservation process with excellent summary of critical info. Place was spotless and warm. My only issue was the narrow bathroom doorway. In my power wheelchair I could not get into the bathroom. I informed the property manager (Jason) who instantly took care of us by getting us moved to the larger unit, which we will review separately. I suggested to Jason that the property listing be changed to say “manual wheelchair accessible” instead of “wheelchair accessible”; or just disclose the internal door widths so wheelchair users can plan ahead. All in all, this is a terrific property.

Beautiful Beach House

Our stay was perfect! We didn't have time to use the bikes but the home and the patio were great! Area is quiet, not alot of traffic. Everything was clean and fresh! We kept the windows open for the nice ocean breeze. The owners gave us walking directions to the beach and a few restaurants close by on our first day there. We walked down the steep hill down to the beach and had dinner, but ended up Ubering it back after dinner because I couldn't make it back up being pregnant. :) Over the weekend we headed to the beach park in Dana Point which was only about 5 minutes to drive too and there are a ton of restaurants and shops to walk too from there! We will differently stay there again!

Hidden gem in Dana Point

Our family of 4 stayed at this adorable cottage for 3 nights in mid-October. We received a beautiful display of cut pineapple upon arrival and a case of bottled water was in the fridge. A nice touch! The location is awesome, just a 7-minute drive down to the harbor and 2 minutes from the I-5. The cottage was clean and well appointed and the backyard was spacious and perfect for the kids to play in for a few hours. The owners are very nice and live in the adjoining duplex. They are there to provide help whenever needed. We ran into an issue on Sunday with the cable not working and they came over to help immediately and stayed on the phone with the cable company until it was resolved. Great customer service!

Great Place. Weird noise.

Everything was fantastic for the most part. The hammock was different from the pictures and was maybe too large for the posts, as it sank to a "V" shape. The only real complaint I have is from a weird noise that happened daily from 5:43 am (per Verizon Wireless time) until 5:58 am. It sounded like a washing machine agitator, and was definitely happening loudest in the master bedroom; I went exploring on nights 2 and 3 since it had already woken me up. I never did figure it out (It was not the other unit's washer, as they had the same front-loader that is near silent, nor was it the outdoor sprinklers as the sound was not happening outside) but it was disruptive to both my wife and I each night. We also had a little trouble opening the door upon arrival and had to call the property manager; the other unit actually showed up at the same time and had the same issue (maybe they mixed us up?). It was resolved in about 5 minutes over the phone.

Beautiful Cozy Cottage

If you are looking for the perfect VRBO in the San Juan Capistrano area, look no more. This is it!!! From the moment I walked in I was totally delighted. I was greeted with a lovely (and unexpected) platter of fruit along with a welcoming note. Not to mention the colors and decor of the cottage, which are a feast for the senses. The pictures on VRBO can't do justice. The cottage is even better in person! The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, utensils, etc, , and renters have access to an ample supply of everything from chairs to boards, for fun at the beach. Bryan even loaned us (my kids and grandkids dropped by) his personal frisbee, which was so nice of him. Plus, the backyard, being well cared for, peaceful and comfortable, beckons you to sit for awhile and just chill. Miriam and Bryan were extremely accommodating. They took the time to transform the twin beds into a king bed (not as easy as one might think) for the night my son and daughter-in-law were staying with me. I wasn't going to bother them with that for just the one night, but they insisted. I was impressed and appreciative, to say the least. Another great advantage of staying at this beach cottage- easy access from the freeway and very close to shopping areas. To sum it up, this cottage was perfect and I would love to stay there again!

Nice Place for Four

The neighborhood is safe and quiet and good for taking walks. To get to the beach, you do need to drive, however. The kitchen is very nice and the beds in the bedrooms are very comfortable. The fold-out sofa bed is impossible, so only four people can stay here comfortably.
