Wow location, near beaches/Harbor, shopping, restaurants, close to Ohana grounds

Charming cottage inspected and licensed by the city of Dana Point. Not a condo/apartment but a house. No adjacent walls. Walking distance to the Harbor/Marina with a great variety of recreational activities, shopping and restaurants. Very comfortable 2 bedrooms/1 bath cottage radiates good energy as described by some guests. Parking in the long driveway. Comfortable patio furniture in the backyard. A queen size bed in the Master Bedroom and trundle bed in the second guest room unfolds into 2 twin beds. There are two identical large dressers in both bedrooms. In addition, there are 2 folding couches (futons) in the living room. Close to shopping and services. The area is known for its perfect climate. It seldom gets real hot or real cold. We are constantly updating the property to make it better. Most sheets we provide have a high thread count. Pets will be considered on a case by case basis. The city of Dana Point is very strict about noise disturbances. Please be cognizant of Dana Point regulations concerning a noise disturbance. There has never been an issue with security. However to make our guests feel even safer in the new environment we have installed a camera on the outside ONLY!

Great little cottage convenient to everything in Dana Point. Very clean, very comfortable beds, most of what you need in the kitchen. Took advantage of the back patio to read in the afternoon, very private. The neighborhood is very quiet. Walkable to restaurants, and everything in the Lantern district. Great communication from the host. Definitely looking forward to staying here again.

Dana Point vacation

Pros Great location in Dana Point Very clean and quiet Room for one car in driveway, possibly 2 small cars. Cons Description says it will sleep 6, we booked for 5 and paid the extra charge. However there were only 4 bath towels and minimal bedding - luckily 3 of our party couldn’t make it - I don’t think it would have worked for 5. It was fine for two. Very bare bones amenities in terms of toiletries and some of the nice touches of home, however the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils The outside areas could use some attention

Thanksgiving in Dana Point

We drove out to visit our son who is stationed at Camp Pendleton. The house was perfect for our Thanksgiving with my wife, our daughter, son, and the family dog.

If you don't mind staying in a dump this is the place for you.

Our stay here was awful.I don’t suggest bringing a pet since the yard is not enclosed. This place is basically an old dumpy place but it was clean. There is no air conditioning so it was unbelievably hot. I would not recommend staying here.

Great location! Great house!

Alex was very easy to communicate with and a wonderful host. The house was very clean, it is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, the harbor and the beaches. San Juan Capistrano is so vibrant now with great downtown happenings and this house is so close. Thank you for a great stay!

Stay Dana Point

The beach cottage was as advertised. Older property in a quiet neighborhood. Quite small, very clean. All that I require. Walking distance to the harbor. Met my family there for coffee in the mornings. Easy drive, easy walk. Steps protrude into the driveway. One car fits easily, two if small. Thank you for making this property available. Joyce

Clean and comfortable cottage

The cottage was very clean and comfortable In a very nice neighborhood right off of PCH. Convenient to stores and restaurants. A bit of a distance to the harbor but lovely views for most of the walk. I’m always grateful when owners are open to allowing dogs since they are furry family. I would definitely stay here again.

Dana Point Cottage

We really enjoyed this property. It was cute and comfortable and the perfect distance from so many things. The patio was awesome and a great way to unwind after the day. The only things we didn't have were wash clothes and dish towels. The only improvement I could suggest was maybe some weather stripping on the exterior doors - you could see light on all sides. Definitely would stay here again!

Beach House in Dana Point

Our VRBO stay in Dana Point was a wonderful vacation for our family. So close to the harbor and beach and an unexpected bonus that the Whale and Dolphin Festival fell exactly the time we were there. The beach house was very comfortable and clean. Everything we needed was there except a stool to reach the tall cupboards in the kitchen. A handicap for us short people. We casually looked for one but did not find it. Perhaps next time we will gift one to the house. Definitely will consider this property again.

Cozy and comfortable house

We love the house. Highly recommended for a great vacation. Close to the beach, Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm . The owner was very accommodating and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Fantastic house in great location.

Location is fantastic. Quite and safe family neighborhood yet Close to best surf spots, restaurant etc. the house is bigger then it looks on the pictures. Every detail has been thought of. Owner gives good information, is very responsive. We, nature loving, surfing and cycling family, two kids (10/11) simply loved it here. We would definitely come back.

A lovely little home base

This humble cottage is located on a quiet street and within walking distance to the Dana Point waterfront. I enjoyed watching 4th of July fireworks from the park overlooking the waterfront. The home was stocked with many basic necessities and if I needed anything, I need only ask and was quickly accommodated. For the heat intolerant, there is no AC. The breeze through the open windows were adequate enough due to the low humidity. We did have what I believe to be record temperatures on one day of my stay where my phone thermometer 🌡 registered 105. On that day, we hid in the shade of the small palm tree out back, with cold drinks and ice compresses. That was NOT typical weather for Dana Point. I only mention this at all for people with medical issues who may need to consider this. If I could make a request for this VRBO, I would request steak knives for the kitchen and a small container kept in the garage that someone might use to soak their feet on a hot day. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to sail. I’m hoping to return to this VRBO. It felt like Home.
