"Way overpriced for what it was. While the garden and the services were good, it’s not a working temple for monks. It’s more like an inn for tourists in a temple structure. The morning Buddhist service gave me the feeling that it was just catered for tourists. By all means check out Koyasan during the day but you would be better off staying outside the mountain for a fraction of the cost. There’s nothing extra zen about staying at this place. "
"We were so glad we made it to Koyasan during our Japan adventure. Our stay at the Fudouin was very nice, a very peaceful retreat from the hectic pace of the cities. "
"One of the most unique properties we have ever stayed at. The room is a combination of old and new done exceedingly well. The property manager is outstanding. "
"Dinner can be provided. We had pizza and pasta and both were excellent. Host is very nice and gave us a nice introduction. Highly recommend this property. "
"This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."

"Perfect location. We stayed one night after a flight from Manchester to rest and freshen up before heading off to Osaka city to enjoy our holiday.
It’s my second time staying here and would stay again.
I highly recommend it."
"Really enjoyed our stay. The property is super easy to access from the airport. It’s quiet and safe. The shopping nearby and the dining options are endless. Everything we expected. Will consider Odysis the next time we plan to visit Japan. Thank you!!!"
"One of my best ever hotel experiences. Great staff all around. Large, clean room & bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast. Plentiful amenities (in room coffee & tea, bathroom necessities, etc.) along with complimentary jelly snacks & free ice pops in the public bath area. Great (free) washing machine & inexpensive dryer. Would definitely stay here again."
