"Unhygienic and dirty. The bathroom had wet yellow urine spilled on toilet and the previous occupants toiletries were still there. The bed had so many stains and when we removed the blanket there was mud and dirt inside. They did not clean the sheets after the previous occupants. "Melia Purosani Yogyakarta is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location, within walking distance of Malioboro Street. The lobby is elegant and makes a great first impression. Our stay started with having to wait more than 40 minutes for our room despite arriving after the official check-in time. Once we got the room, we found it spacious and comfortable. However, some housekeeping details were overlooked, including missing hand towels and a bathroom that did not meet our expectations for a five-star hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. However, when we started ordering, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. The available dishes we ordered were very disappointing in terms of flavor, quality, and value for money. Considering the hotel's reputation, we expected a much better dining experience. Breakfast was better, offering a good variety of local and international options, including an egg station and fresh fruit. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, Melia Purosani has a beautiful property, spacious rooms, and a prime location, but improvements in housekeeping and restaurant quality would better align it with five-star standards."

"Plataran Heritage Borobudur is a beautiful and elegant property that combines classic charm with warm Indonesian hospitality. The architecture, stylish lobby, and refined interiors create a sophisticated atmosphere with a timeless, almost French-inspired feel. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink, and throughout our stay the staff were exceptionally friendly, smiling, and accommodating. Their genuine hospitality was one of the highlights of our visit. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with fresh fruit waiting for us on the table and a small balcony overlooking palm trees and the surrounding mountains. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch, offering a generous selection of food and beverages. The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle to Borobudur Temple, making it very convenient to visit this iconic landmark. We enjoyed dining at Stupa Restaurant, where the food was good, the service excellent, and the staff professional and courteous. While there were a few housekeeping details that did not fully meet our expectations for a five-star property, we greatly appreciated how professionally and sincerely the management team handled our feedback. Their commitment to guest satisfaction left a positive impression on us. Overall, Plataran Heritage Borobudur is a wonderful hotel with beautiful surroundings, elegant accommodations, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding service. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Borobudur area."

"Beautiful and luxurious hotel with an A+ staff. Room is cleaned every day unless I ask to skip (with a button near the door) but they will come by later for a rescheduling. This way they can restock the free complimentary water and food/fruits. Pool is very nice, breakfast buffet is from 6am to 10am and I do recommend getting it as part of your room - wide selection and most of its pretty good. There is a national anthem at 10am that does play in public areas of the hotel. Staff is helpful and professional with the front desk and those at most front facing positions having strong English speaking skills too. Would go back if I was in Yogya"

"Amazing and friendly staff who are always looking out for you and your wellbeing. The place was 200m away from the market which has local delicious food. It is also 100m from the Tugu Yogyakarta which has many cafes at the roundabout. It’s also 5min away by car to the Tugu Yogyakarta train station and 5-15min away from malioboro mall. The swimming pool is a relaxed and conducive place."
