Simply excellent! Best part of our Darjeeling trip: the tea garden is beautiful and tranquil, the opposite of the busy traffic in town. Food is excellent (and all included in the room rate)! Great hotel with lots of old school charm. The first day we had a beautiful room but not much of a view. As soon as we asked the manager, he promised to move us to a room with a view the next day (after some rooms became available). The room change happened while we were in one of the comfortable lounges looking outside and having Darjeeling tea and biscuits. Sinclair's is an older, well-maintained, and attractive property, with beautiful views of Kanchenjunga. The street leading up to it is steep, and then are stairs leading up to the hotel and more to the rooms (no lift), so you need to be all right with that. (We're over 70 and had no problem.) The staff is lovely and go out of their way to help you. I'd single out Bragya--I hope I have her name right--for exceptional service, helping us find a taxi to Bagdogra at a heavily touristed festival...

Very clean and nice. Very nice shower head and very high for tall people like me (6’3”).

I was surprised how lovely the interior of the hotel was as I walked through it. The room was nice and the front desk staff were helpful, as noted in other reviews. The breakfast was a basic continental one: toast, 2 eggs, fruit, juice and coffee or tea. A lobby sign states the AM & PM hours when hot water is available in your room. If you miss those hours, you'll need to request a bucket of hot water to be sent up. The hotel is freezing, including the room. You'll need to request...

The staff were great. The location was perfect and close to main Darjeeling mall. The floors in the room and multiple junctions in the lobby area are uneven which may cause discomfort and extra attention especially for elderly people.

Our stay at Sumitel was great. The staff was extremely friendly and took care of all of our requests in a timely manner, even when we ordered our dinner late, they accommodated us. We could see Kanchunjangha from our room, which was an added bonus. The front desk attendants and the night manager was also very friendly, including the kitchen staff Pranesh, Lakpa and Sovana. The only room for improvement I would suggest is Wifi, which was extremely slow. Otherwise a great stay.

The property and service is of a high quality, and the hotel is in a convenient location.

We had a wonderful stay in a marvelous tea estate. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The location is really good and the service is amazing. The room design is also very spacious and modern looking, with good lighting. I only wish there was AC as it was a bit humid, and the room wasn't as clean as I am used to (some dust, dirt), but for the value it is an excellent stay, and the service of the staff was a highlight.

Hotel staff is very friendly, always eager to help. Kitchen staff is very helpful. Overall, we had a good experience.
