We're from VA, but if you need a grocery store, Fareway Markets are fantastic stores. Wish they had them on the east coast! And, our family loved visiting John Deere's museum and store in Moline, IL.

It's a nice little town with an artsy flare. There are any accommodation choices. Downtown has lots of restaurants and pubs. Outlying neighborhoods have the normal chains.

Hurts Donuts and the Coffee Shop right next door is a must stop. The Machine Shed is a AMAZING place to eat, it's family style!

Make sure to get on a waitlist for restaurants as we had a 2 1/2 hour wait and we went out at 5:30. The restaurant we dined at catered to large parties first rather than couples.

With no pool we looked into what we could do as a family, I highly recommend checking out Malibu Jacks for some family fun. Just a short drive from the hotel.
