"Room Was great and clean but check in was not great first I was initially greeted by what seemed like a AI person on a screen that didn’t even try and help. Before I said anything the person on the screen said no clean rooms available check in is at 3pm. It was 2pm by the way. We left and came back around 5:30 then had to wait 15 minutes for an actual person to help. Then there was breakfast on the first morning we got to the breakfast area 30 minutes before closing and all the food had already been put away. The second day we got there earlier and all they had was muffins, yogurt & coffee and not much else. It seemed like there was no staff anywhere. We loved the room but wish the check-in was better. I would consider staying again if they had more staff and got rid of the AI check in."

"We recently stayed for two nights and enjoyed the great staff at this hotel. The rooms could be updated. The bed was fairly comfortable but the floors were lifting and the rooms are very small with outdated furniture. I return to this hotel for the on site staff and their smiling faces. I think many hotels in Davis have dated rooms, but they don’t all have staff onsite. La Quinta staff are helpful and friendly."
