10/10 Excellent

"I really liked this hotel and it will be my 'go to' for future visits, as I regularly visit the area for annual WW2 Market Garden commemorations. It's set at the edge of Ede, in a beautful forest area (great for cycling), but the major road routes to Arnhem and beyond are quickly accessible. I liked the idea of a free drink in exchange for choosing to forego the daily housekeeping call! My room was a 'standard' one (with irritatingly sticky locks), quite adequate, but I really missed the tea and coffee making facilities which I'd enjoyed in my Amsterdam hotel a few days earlier! As an Englishman, I'd even bought my own teabags from home, so instilled is the habit of 'early morning tea' to get the day going before the very enjoyable breakfast this hotel offers. As a previous review some time ago had also mentioned this point, it seems that the hotel remains unmoved:) The shower was great, but the tiny square of wax soap provided didn't impress and I used my shower gel instead... I loved the Dutch coffee at breakfast, but the one small machine providing it in the restaurant 'gave up' after a heavy influx of guests during the Arnhem Market Garden commemoration! Let's hope reinforcements will be in place for next year:) More importantly, the staff are very friendly and helpful, even when I requested to pay my bill on a different card - I would certainly recommend this hotel for a great value stay and I'm already looking forward to coming back next year."

"I have used the Reehorst for some years and it is a well situated location close to the main line railway station. It’s a very pleasant hotel but the room is now rather dated with no USB charging point connection and the room lighting is not great. The beds are very comfortable and it’s a clean and good size room."

"I liked the Hotel with its Dutch charm. There was only one problem, as I didn't know where to eat on the Friday evening, as the Hotel just did breakfast the following day, I checked the information, but it was all in Dutch, which I can't understand. I went back to a garage I had refueled at two miles away to buy a snack and more water. The Hotel is charming with interesting features, it was a shame there weren't more guests. Breakfast was good and varied including English tea. Can't ride a motorcycle without it, you know ! I carry my own tea bags, but didn't need them. Perhaps some hire bicycles would have been useful."
