"Breakfast nothing special for European standards. Many updates to hotel. Hotel staff very nice. Hotel location not the best for tourists. Nothing to see or do in the area. Restaurants at least a mile walk from facility."

"My room was clean but very basic, I guess you get what you pay for. Staff were very helpful and provided hot water for tea in the morning even though I hadn’t booked breakfast, which incidentally was very expensive. Free parking to the rear and rear access made unloading very easy. The decor was a little tired and carpet look like it had had its own battle of Waterloo! Talking of which, Waterloo, is a very smart and has an air to it that is very pleasant. I only managed to ride through it but will return to walk through and visit the museum, shut on Mondays. I visited the Waterloo battle site and museum there….truly worth going to, it is excellent. "

"Check in was smooth and professional by Damien. Parking on site. Walkable distance to some of the battlefield sites. Short walk to shops or easy to drive as well. Our room was a studio attic style. On the small side but fine for one night. Dinner was exceptional and chef Elysses and Aurelie served up the best steak and desserts we have ever had. Dinner service by Damien was also exceptional..we were well looked after. Museum were excellent. We bought the 1815 pass which was good value. More than happy with Hotel 1815. "
