A kitchen for food lovers
Our state-of-the-art kitchen is equipped with an American refrigerator with an ice cube maker, our favourite gizmo in the whole penthouse. This way we’re 100% sure you’ll be able to enjoy ice cold drinks from the minute you arrive.
Furthermore, you’ll be excited to discover our kitchen isle fitted with an Atag induction stove with integrated hood, AEG oven, AEG microwave, Siemens dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, a regular Dualit toaster and blender, Bamix hand mixer, croque-monsieur toaster / waffle maker, Solis juicer, knives, cookware, herbs… You name it.
You’ll find more pots and pans (including a tajine and Dutch oven) than you’re willing to wash and you’ll be able to host the most exquisite dinner parties, thanks to our Serax tableware designed by Ann Demeulemeester, qualitative glassware & easy breezy vibes.
You’d love to cook outside? No problem! We have a rather big Kamado barbecue at your disposal that’ll do the trick for sure. Did we mention you’ll surely savour the stunning sea view while cooking inside or outside? Enjoy!
The living room
Adjoining the kitchen, there’s a large open space accessing the 270° pink terrace. Slide those windows wide open and enjoy the curtains dancing in the wind, let the sun shine in and the saline air bring you to a state of rapture. Even when the Belgian weather’s not so great and it’s a wise decision to stay inside, there’s no reason to sorrow as our seventh-floor sea view gets even more dramatic. La montagne, c’est la mer et la mer, c’est la montagne.
No worries though, we won’t force you to stare at the sea, nor the magnificent sunsets. That’s why we arranged a Samsung Smart TV with Chromecast, DVD player and Playstation IV for you and your (inner) child. Crash that comfy sofa and start that Netflix marathon!
We’ve also set up a portable B&O Bluetooth speaker that you can take anywhere in the Penthouse, and a large dining table that can easily function as a workstation if necessary. Additionally, we’ll provide some books & magazines for you to enjoy while relaxing in our iconic Muller van Severen rocking chair.
The bedrooms
Both bedrooms are equipped with the most comfortable Revor beds you can dream of.
The master bedroom accommodates a 180x200 cm bed, direct access to the terrace through a huge sliding window and a small make-up / home office station. The second bedroom is slightly more modest with an equally comfortable 160x200 cm bed and two smaller windows.
Of course, both bedrooms have their very own private bathroom. There’s plenty of cabinet space to store all your luggage and, naturally, we’ve made sure our pink curtains will darken the room when you’re tired of the view on the sand dunes of Nature Reserve ‘Westhoek’.
No need to bring your own bedlinen – we’ll even make your bed prior to your arrival.
The bathrooms
Just as every bedroom has its private bathroom, every bathroom is completed with a large walk-in shower, toilet, sink and large mirror extravaganza. One of the bathrooms also offers access to the washing machine, dryer and flat iron.
Again, there’s no need to bring your own towels – both of the bathrooms are supplied with bath linen and a hair dryer. Do you feel like bringing your shower ritual closer to the elements? Please do use our heated outdoor shower while marvelling at the sea.
The Pink Terrace
One of the main features of The Pink Penthouse is – and will always remain – the 125m2 Pink Terrace, which offers you a 270° tour around the penthouse. On the south side it overviews the sand dunes of Nature Reserve ‘Westhoek’. This side has been planted with olive trees, pines, flowers and grasses. It’s a great spot to enjoy breakfast in the sun or to just overlook from the comfort of your bed.
Walking towards the other side of our terrace when following the sun throughout the day, the frontal sea view is overwhelming. On the west side you can see Dunkirk, on clear days you can spot Ostend on the east side and even the English coast ahead. Since there’s no noisy beach promenade in front of you, but protected dune area instead, you can watch the hares play and savour the sunsets in all serenity.
Thanks to its huge surface, there’s plenty of space for two magnificent sun loungers, a bar table and regular round table, each providing place for 6 guests, an outdoor copy of our indoor sofa, a breakfast corner, heated outdoor shower and Kamado barbecue.
As we’re on the seventh floor facing the North Sea, we kindly request you to be prudent with the cantilever hanging parasol, especially when it’s windy. And trust us, on clear nights the exterior lighting is completely superfluous as the stars do shine so bright that you can easily count all the boats and ships passing by.
P.S. Did we tell you we painted our terrace tiles pink? We like pink… obviously.
