It is an old building but well maintained. Very spacious room, view of the river was good and room situated for a great view of the sunset. This area is very quaint and enjoyed walking around. The only downside to this facility was the breakfast could have been better.

Nice place, large rooms (at least mine), spacious bathroom. Room was carpeted with much better grade than normal hotel carpet. (2/3 carpet, 1/3 nice laminate near door.) Very friendly staff. Breakfast is packaged food but fresh coffee. Chocolate chip cookies and coffee complimentary self-serve 24/7. Extra Kleenex and toilet paper self-serve 24/7 on each floor, which is a nice touch. Stairwells are carpeted and air freshened so they smell like vanilla, which is not a big deal but suggests they take some pride in the place. Ice self-serve 24/7 in small bags in a freezer in the lobby area. Was nice to have lots of space and soft carpet. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful location! Able to walk to a park and a hike/bike trail. Very close to restaurants and bars. Check times of when the kitchen closes at these locations! We got to. Few places that stayed open till late but the kitchen closed early either 8 Or 9pm, yet the establishment stayed open till much later. Room was comfortable and relaxing with all a traveler needs for a nice stay.

This is a very interesting boutique hotel with a great location on the waterways. First off, the elevator was broken but the staff was very helpful and assisted us to use the elevator in the adjoining restaurant. Furniture is outdated but functional & quaint . The tub is very deep and slippery with on working jets . The Thai restaurant on site was very nice. Overall a nice stay .

I wanted to like this facility. The historical aspect of the building, mostly willing to please staff, good Thai restaurant, and great location on the Fox river are all pluses. HOWEVER the following minuses negate the pluses: Musty smelling room. old carpeting, harsh lighting in the rooms, no front desk staffing after 10:00 pm, and finally I had to ask the staff on three different days to clean my room, change my sheets and towels daily as directed after the first day of not doing so. This facility is pinching pennies and is extremely short staffed and it shows. Never again!!!
