The staff were super nice and there were loads of free parking options around which seems quite rare on the Costa brava. "My extended family of 14 had a wonderful stay at Mascaros . It is a huge 500 year old mansion with thick walls and floors of stone . The rooms were large with high ceilings and the house and kitchen were fully equipped. Outi arranged for neighbor, a chef , to cater a birthday party for us one night which was great and included a paella . There were many nice beaches close by which we drove to and Girona was a close town to visit. The house has many fans to help with cooling and the 2 third floor bedrooms have air conditioning. We stayed in June when Spain was having a heatwave , if the summers continue to be hotter than normal the only suggestion that I would make is providing air conditioning in all of the bedrooms. Otherwise the house is perfect and Outi and Mark great hosts. "
"This is a lovely hotel made of stone construction from the 14th century but with all modern amenities. The owner and staff were welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and it is a short (2 minute) walk to the town square. I highly recommend it. "
"Very lovely hotel. It was a birthday present for my wife, we were satisfied with everything from the location, meeting and the hotel itself. The rooms have exclusive French cosmetics. The samé mattress and bedding are lovely, which made our mon look great. I believe this is an exclusive vacation in the heart of a small Catalan village. We were helped to book a fabulous restaurant from the Michelin Guide. Just an unforgettable vacation. Definitely recommend!"
