Del Mar Coziness
The perfect little place for the two of us and our puppy in Del Mar. Close to the beach, Dog Beach, the trail inland, restaurants, surfing and more. Practically Perfect in Every Way!
We stayed just 2 nights to attend the San Diego County Fair. The host did everything to make sure we knew what was available in the area and inside the home. The outside is very inviting and neatly manicured. The garage was roomy enough to comfortably park our SUV. The inside was beautifully appointed with a beach-themed decor and everything was SPOTLESS! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen contained everything we needed. We highly recommend this home and would like to have had a longer stay.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at this property. Everything was nicely organized, comfortable, clean, quiet, beautifully decorated with the latest upgrades to make our stay pleasant and peaceful. A beautiful and quiet retreat space in short walking distance from the beach. Beach chairs, wagon, umbrella were provided for our use as well as laundry facilities. Best of all our fur pups were allowed to be here with us. Highly recommend staying at this property. You will not be disappointed.

We had a great time. The quick walk to the beach was great. We used the supplied boogie boards and surfboards. I'd walk down to the beach in the morning with my coffee and enjoy the ocean. Very family oriented for us. I had my daughter and granddaughter with me.

This beach house was perfect. Well stocked. Very clean. 100 feet to the beach. Close to the dog beach. Had a great time. The only negatives were internet was flaky and the TV remotes didn’t seem to work. We didn’t report to the property manager because we didn’t care with so much to do in the area.

This is a great house. It is very clean and well stocked. The beach is 1 1/2 blocks away.
I felt very comfortable here. I was by myself most of the time and felt safe. The house was very clean, comfortable beds and well stocked with everything I needed. This included all of the beach equipment you could want. The best part was being so close to the beach. I will be back.

Ideal Del Mar getaway spot
We had a great time at the Shell Cottage! We live in the SF Bay Area and have spent many years driving to La Jolla during the summer but after this experience, we would prob stay in Del Mar from now on. The house is terrific, the amenities are great and the location is ideal. We had 3 adults in the house (me, wife and 18-year old) for most of the time and it was perfect. I wouldn’t recommend more than 3 adults but a family with 2 kids would work great. One thing to note if this is important: there’s no cable or satellite TV service, just a Google Chromecast device. We happened to have a Xbox with us and have a YoutubeTV account which was handy because we were able to watch the Olympics in the evenings. Garage is fully stocked with umbrellas and chairs and towels which makes things super easy to walk to the beach. These items are shared between Shell cottage and adjoining cottage but there’s plenty of equipment to go around. We had a nice family next to us they were so quiet (they prob thought we were loud!) We had an amazing week thanks to Brenda and team for setting up the house perfectly for renters!

Great location! Perfect for families.
My husband and I took our 1.5 your old on his first vacation and stayed in the shell cottage. It is absolutely perfect for families and such a quick easy walk to a nice, quiet beach. Within walking distance to good restaurants and in a quiet neighborhood. The property managers made sure we had everything we needed including a pack and play and anything you could possibly need for the beach. There’s a small gated in side yard that was very convenient to catch some fresh air without the baby running away. The bathroom could’ve used a little updating, but was still extremely clean. And this style is to be expected for beach properties. Would 100% stay again. Great value for the location!
