"A real cute place with a cozy layout and amazing bathroom and shower. It was just secluded enough but not overly challenging to get to. The upper porch was great for hanging out and watching the pair of hummingbirds that seem to have made the area home. The bed was comfortable but also a little squeaky and noisy. We really enjoyed our stay and it was just the relaxing getaway we needed. "

"Glenn was super communicative and answered all our questions beforehand. He was so nice and even provided s'mores kits and brought us some of his garden's produce as we were leaving. The property is wonderful and at a perfect place on the river. You can ride the rapids over and over on the provided tubes or put in further up and take a leisurely float to the house, which we did many times. You can hear the gentle rapids on the porch, and it's very peaceful. The house itself has literally everything you need including a hose under the porch to clean off after the river, a washer and dryer, a fully appointed kitchen, toilet paper and paper towels, and plenty of river towels. Glenn told us many cool things to do in the area, but we were having so much fun at the house that we only left once to go to a restaurant he recommended, Bonnie Blue. It was delicious. We will try to come back next year!"

"We had a great time staying here. It was our second time and again was great! The house is very clean, kitchen well stocked. The wildlife, the quiet, the peace of mind - priceless. Our kids were so happy after they found out that we coming back to the "wooden house in West Virginia".There is plenty of activities you can do around, starting with tons of hiking trails, caverns and ending with local charming shops and wineries. We recommend West Whitehill Winery in Moorefield.Sadly, we had to go back home, but we will be happy to come back.We would give this property six stars if we could."
