"The owner of this VRBO went out of her way on the design of this house. I felt this home could be on the beach. Attention to detail is important and she has nailed it! "The property is obviously older and just recently taken over by new owners who are putting in the work to bring it up to a standard. They were pleasant and accommodating and had the property clean and nice, albeit dated. On Expedia, however, it is listed as a VRBO where you get the “whole house” which includes “Bedroom 1” and “Bedroom 2”. The hotel was 45 minutes out of the way for me on a 3-day trip, but I did the driving so I could better accommodate my wife and children, but it ended up being just a regular dated (but clean) hotel room. I resented the 45 minute drive out to Scipio because of the inaccurate listing. If you need to be in Scipio or nearby, its just fine an a decent value, but you won’t be getting 2 bedrooms."

"Very cozy, but comfortable place. We did not stay at a time where we could take advatage of the lake, but it looked like a lot of fun. It worked extremely well for our planned trilobite dig. Two recommendations: 1.The kitchen needs a sponge - scrubber to wash the pots and pans. 2. The twin beds upstairs are not for adults; they are junior beds. Need to put that in the description."
