This place is a hidden gem. Very quiet, secluded with a great view. The cabin is very comfortable and has all the comforts of home. Diane and Mitch are great host and I will be staying here again.
This was a Great Find! There were beautiful views of the mountain sunset right from the deck! The cabin had everything we needed & was very clean. Perfect location for us as my sister lives in Denver & we wanted to visit Colorado Springs as well. We will be back!♡
From the friendly greeting when I arrived, to the beautiful property that exceeded all of my expectations, to the cute little trail with wildlife, everything was wonderful. I honestly can't imagine a better place to have stayed. Thank you so much, Diane and Mitch.
I will not hesitate to stay at this property in the future; it is close to Denver, Red Rocks, and Colorado Springs just to name a few. It was just what I needed during my travels.
My husband and I had a great getaway from LA. The cabin is right out of town down this beautiful winding road on a mountain. It was warm and cozy, huge TV, and a very comfortable king sized bed. It made our stay in the snowy -10 degree weather so amazing. The views from the porch are beautiful! We had a couple things come up while we were there and they were taken care of quickly and kindly by sweet Diane and Mitch. We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this wonderful place!
We highly recommend this house; it is the best VRBO experience we have ever had by far! When we arrived, after a brief greeting from our hosts Diane & Mitch, we were delighted to open the door and find a lovely sign welcoming us by name. The house is in a terrific location for those who want a quiet spot to unwind and rest, with easy access to attractions in Denver (45 min) and Colorado Springs (60 min). Diane & Mitch were ready to help immediately when we had trouble with a window blind, easily explaining what to do over the phone. The bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. We made almost all our meals there. The hosts provided unexpected extras, including snacks that we were happy to have for our sight-seeing adventures. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the birds on the property from the deck and on the lovely nature trails maintained by the hosts, and we also had 3 mule deer walk by one morning. The westward views of the mountains and sunsets were stunning.
The cabin and the owners were both super wonderful! The communication was excellent and they were so accommodating with us continually best-guessing on our ETA with our long drive from Missouri. They were lovely to meet at the front gate and available close by if we needed them for any reason.
When we walked into the cabin we couldn’t believe what greeted us inside. This nice but unassuming looking cabin from the outside was so adorable inside! We were so excited that it was so cozy and comfortable. There was access to Netflix, etc, but we loved all the DVD choices, so we ended up just watching old classics each night.
The location was perfect for everything we wanted to see. We could get to the highways easily. The road to the cabin is well maintained but somewhat narrow and a climb. Not a problem in June, but they recommend 4WD in the winter and I can see why.
The owners encourage you to hike the little trail behind the cabin and we were glad we did. It’s not far to the end, but it’s a beautiful view from a hill top and the exploration was fun.
We will definitely stay here again!!
Great location south of denver. The view is beautiful from the deck. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The cabin was clean and spacious for the whole family. Kids had a blast exploring the hiking trails.

Awesome cabin that has a cozy mountain feel. Owners were very nice and easy to work with!! A
Diane and Mitch were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their property is immaculate and i cant wait to get back and stay at their place. I would recommend them to anyone.
We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. Our flight had a late landing, and the hosts thought of everything by keeping the pantry stocked with some basics that really came in handy when the restaurants were closed. The view was amazing and the cabin was very comfortable. We didn't want to leave. I would recommend this location to anyone.
This is a lovely place to stay! I loved the the amount of sunshine in the cabin from early morning to sunset. The porch is absolutely divine. It is so quiet. Note that the internet was NOT reliable or fast enough to do video calls for work (and the streaming TV works intermittently). Cell service was not enough to serve as a mobile hot spot. This is no problem for a respite from normal life, but if you are hoping to work remotely from here or do other internet-heavy activities, that probably is not possible. I drove in to Castle Rock to work from a cafe.
As a former VRBO owner I am very picky about the places I stay as well as my expectations when it comes to the description of a property, amenities, photo's etc. I can tell you that this property will exceed your expectations! The owners who built this cabin just below their home welcomed us upon our arrival were so friendly and accommodating ! The cabin was darling and came equipped with everything you could possibly need even some starter food items in case you arrive hungry. It is set in a high-end yet rural area surrounded by scrub oak on several acres with amazing views of the Rocky Mountain. Although below the main house you can't even see it and will feel like you have the land to yourself.
My family of 3 really all enjoyed our stay here. The views were beautiful and the cabin was just as described. We loved getting up and talking a walk around the property to look for wildlife or signs of some. We did see a deer once but saw tracks and evidence of wildlife every time we went out. Best of all was the proximity to so much! All within 30-60 minute drive are Denver, Golden, Colorado Springs and of course Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. It was a great location that was just remote enough and a lovely place to come back to after a day of adventuring. The hosts, Diane and Mitch were delightful. They left the best homemade bread/cake/goodness assortment and their suggestions and visitors brochures were very helpful. Make sure you plan a day to just relax at the cabin and enjoy the view from the deck! We will definitely be back and hopefully when there's snow so we can go sledding.

We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. Mitch and Diane were very welcoming and the cabin had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed our time there and were able to just relax. We are looking forward to going back.
Just over two years ago, we moved from the mountains to the city. We were longing for the peace and quiet of our mountain home, and found that at this cabin. We met the owners when we arrived, and were left completely alone until we left 3 days later, though they were available if we needed them. We hope to go back again next year. Thank you, Diane and Mitch.
I had a friend fly in from Switzerland and he and a couple of my other friends stayed there for the weekend to show him around the mountains and the area I grew up. 10/10
