"Perfect for an early morning flight at Manchester airport."

"This property was advertised as a hotel, but it’s not. There was nobody there at the property to welcome us, nor was there anyone to ask for anything like toilet rolls or extra pillows and there wasn’t a floor mat for stepping out of shower. As my husband is elderly he didn’t have a shower in case he slipped on the floor. Because there was nobody at the property on arrival we left part on our luggage in the car as it was difficult to carry up 2 flights of narrow stairs. To crown it all the room was barely big enough to swing a cat in and the sink was at the end of the bed and there was not much more than a trickle of cold water. I won’t bore you with the rest, but I definitely would not recommend this property to anyone."

"Very difficult to find your way around the hotel, we struggled to find reception when we turned up. Gym and pool were nice and rooms were nice and big, the room felt like a 5 minute walk away from the bar and reception areas. Breakfast buffet was poor, arrived at 9:30am and everything has been sat there a while and was stale and cold."

"New bathroom shower toilet basin and tiles, about the only features I would retain unfortunately. Carpet was filthy, double glazing in window was totally fogged up, could not see out. Building has just not been maintained at all, grounds also badly neglected. Main Building, little that I saw of the entrance lobby and stairs, etc, would make an ideal set for a scary movie, like Alfred Hitchcocks Psycho."
