"This place was great. It’s beach casual. There were a couple rough edges*, but nothing that effected the quality of my stay. The hotel is at the top of a hill at the far northern edge of the Nye Beach business area. Parking is easy. It doesn’t feel like you’re in the thick of things. There’s a road between the hotel and the ocean. If you’re on the second or third floor, you won’t notice the street, but there are some power lines between the hotel and the ocean that take a little while to become ignorable. They do eventually become pretty invisible. Smokers will be happy to know there’s a nice area with a great view that seems reserved for smoking (that or it’s just happens to be an excellent place to smoke). It’s a sweet spot. I’ve noticed families stopping there to take in a sunset, so be cool and clean up. I opted for a higher priced room (out of maybe 2 or 3 choices, all reasonable by local standards). The room was big as hotel rooms go. The windows pointed toward the beach were big and opened wide and really brought the view into the room. The complementary breakfast was great. The pool looked like it would be great for little kids. Nice hot tub. I’m expecting to need to return to the area next year. I will be staying here again when I return. *Rough edges: some unpainted plaster, no drain plug in tub or sink, quirky lights, outdoor hallway and staircase areas needed sweeping."

"A wonderful place to stay. The front desk check in person was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and welcoming, and pets are welcome too ! Had a very nice breakfaat available with great choices. The only thing I could fault them for was the toilet was a bit sluggish on day three. Apparently a major remodel is about to start, and we will deinately return to stay here and check it out. Access to the beach is very easy."

"I like the great customer service provided by the staff at the check in, as well has her understanding of us arriving earlier and fast friendly smile given to check us in earlier. Her care for us was beyond what was excepted and we will always appreciate her for that. There is nothing we didn't like, we had and enjoyed our time in Lincoln City and will definitely stay at Ashley Inn again. Thank you"

"If you’re looking for a room with a view, this place would be hard (if not impossible) to beat. Unfortunately, the “Arch” crumbled in 2004, but don’t worry, the views are still among the best coastal vistas on the planet! We stayed in room 7. I’m sure that all of the rooms have spectacular views, but unless you’re staying in one of their new Suites, ask for room 7. It has the best views. I actually couldn’t believe it when we walked in. We’ve stayed in lots of hotels with great views, but this one is something special. If you’re traveling with family or friends, try out the Suites. They are newly remodeled. Beautiful! And of course, the views are to die for. Aside from the views, it’s a charming hotel in a charming little Oregon coastal town. You can’t go wrong here! Checkin / out: The staff are wonderful! Friendly, welcoming, helpful, and very accommodating. Checkin and checkout were easy and quick. Décor: Depending on which room you stay in, you’ll either have nice (if a bit dated) decor with comfortable furniture, or if you stay in their recently updated Suites, you’ll have wonderfully updated rooms with modern décor, tastefully decorated and the best of everything. Nearby: The little town of Depoe Bay is within easy walking distance (about 1 mile roundtrip.) You’ll find a variety of restaurants, touristy gift shops, all the salt water taffy you’d ever care to eat, boating excursions, and of course, some of the most amazing ocean views anywhere."
