Centrally located and designed for Indonesian tourists and business guests, the hotel was a pleasant stay, and only 5 minutes walk from the main shopping area along Maliboro street. 10 minutes via rickshaw from Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat, the royal palace, although a little disappointing. n.b n.b n.b. "Hotel was clean. Our room was very clean, and comfortable. We stayed for three days because it was clean. Great breakfast options. In parts like the edges of the dining area the carpet was ripped and the hotel is a bit on the older side. Needs more maintenance. But otherwise our room was clean and enjoyed our stay. "

"Visiting Yogyakarta for the first time, I decided to stay at the Royal Ambarrukmo. I am glad I picked this hotel as it was a very comfortable stay with many great amenities. I utilized their fitness area, which had many options for weight training with the machines they had, including dumbbells. The staff was terrific, and I would say one of the best parts of my stay was the breakfast. Never have I seen so many options in a breakfast buffet. I maybe tried a tenth of what they had to offer, and I didn’t have room to try anymore. Make sure you don’t miss the breakfast to get your day started."

"The hotel needs to update its facilities because it is already too old. It does not live up to it’s 4-star hotel status. We booked it hoping that we will have a wonderful experience in a 4-star hotel, but we were very disappointed with the quality of room we had. They need to upgrade the hotel and compete with other 4-star hotels in the city."
