Great room in a quiet area, plenty of parking space. Not many things to do nearby, you will need a car, or take a 15min bus to the city centre. Dining options very limited (mainly bar service). Full english breakfast available, which is always a plus compared to takeaway bags some hotels have adopted during these Covid times.

High recommend for a local stay

This was a really nice and peaceful hotel with good service, easy to find and plenty of parking. On site bar & food, plenty of takeaways locally. Really nice, clean & comfortable bedroom. My only draw back if I had to choose one would have been the shower would have been perfect if there was more power in the flow of water.

2 day stay.

I do a lot of travelling in my job which means I stay away quite a lot. Being a solo traveller can be very lonely, so having friendly staff is very important to me, so the welcome and chat i had with Richard and Gavin made me feel at home and happy. The food in the restaurant was very good with excellent portion size. I will definitely book here again when I am in the area.

Loved the Art Deco styling of the building and it's interior. Loved the reception and the breakfast service. Room / bed, very comfortable. The walk into Derby centre was challenging, especially with a new knee, but Richard on the front desk suggested the bus service which worked fine. I kook forward to returning soon.

Ok pillows were not overly comfortable and shampoo and shower gel were not replaced for the second day. I would say that this hotel is not a 4* hotel
