"Worst hotel ever stayed at unable to check in on first night as hotel locked. Sat outside for 2 hours then had to go to another hotel at €109 for night. Hotel Clos did not respond to phone or text while we were sat outside!"

"We arrived at 6pm for Check in & even though there was a note on the door to say it was open, it was locked & no-one came to greet us. The yard was very messy & there were lots of cats everywhere. We left to find more suitable accommodation."

"The owner was at the desk and recommended a nice brasserie to eat: the hotel was comfortable, in an old stone building with a lot of character. The room was comfortable the bedding perfect and we had a little sitting corner. We did not try the restaurant because it was closed but you will find plenty of places to have a good meal at a reasonable price. Will return in a heart beat."

"Very quirky french property. 3 bedrooms upstairs in main building with one in an annexe with its own small lounge & toilet. Large very well equipped kitchen. Great size lounge & dining area with ceiling fan. The pool is fantastic, heated perfectly and in a separate poolhouse. Its 2 metres deep throughout so be aware. Lovely garden & courtyards which can be used to sit in. Aswith many french properties you have to be prepared for local flora & fauna. We enjoyed Derek the bats flights in the evenings! Alfred & Ruth were fabulous hosts, very generous with their home grown produce and advice. The local wine was very much appreciated. Supermarkets about 15 mins drive away but had all you needed. Loved our holiday with our family. Do visit Terra Botanica and biopark zoo as our whole family from 3 to 69 had a wonderful time in both. About 1& 1/2 hours away. Chateaux were amazing as was the weather. Would stay again. Love this area. "

"What a wonderful stay we had! Sad that we didn’t spend more time as really was a quick stop! I rung ahead and explained we were going to be a little late for check in (we were driving back to the UK from Spain) they couldn’t have been more helpful! Lovely people, the most beautiful room (almost like a small apartment!) We had the family room which had 2 double beds and a single - for our family of 5 it was perfect! No doubt I would stay here again! Highly recommend!"
