Great location!

The property was perfectly located on the beach and was exactly what our family needed while we were in town for a baseball tournament. We were a little disappointed, however, in the furnishings and the dated-ness of the property. With a little bit of paint and a little bit more love/attention to some nicer and newer furniture and appliances, this place could be really great!

The pools, hot tubs and tiki bar were great! It’s private beach access and we were only able to see the sunrise from our balcony. The room itself needs some TLC but overall we had a nice time!

The unit was clean and there were plenty of towels. We were unhappy with the odor is the room with twin beds. It had a BO or smelly feet smell. We cleaned the floor with disinfectant wipes and the smell never went away. There were also a bunch of wore out fake plants and 2 worn out sofas .

Unit condition was unacceptable. The unit smelled of marijuana as soon as we entered and the guest bedroom smelled of BO mostly from the curtain. We bought stuff to help with smell. Part of the ceiling above the family TV was on the floor as we first walked in. We vacuumed that up. We contacted the property manager about the smell and ceiling when we first checked in but the response was delayed and said they would look into; however, we didn’t hear back from them. I asked for the host’s contact but they can’t give that out. The elevators were not working properly and there were long waits for the elevators every time we needed them. The pool and hot tub closes at 10pm which is early even on vacation. The view is amazing from this unit but the smell didn’t go all the way away during our stay and more pieces of the ceiling came down while there.

Beds need to be replaced

The king size bed was very uncomfortable, hard as a rock. Kind of ruined my vacation. Did not get much sleep at all. Toilet next to the kids room needed to be plunged every time you used it. Other than that the condo was fine. They need to get a new mattress!!!

Typical Vicasa quality

This unit is just ok. The mattress and pillows are cheap and basic. The Vacasa sheets are scratchy. The bath towels are thin and cheap. The entire unit needs to be repainted, the peachy beige does not have beach vibe at all. The condo provided the basics, nothing was above and beyond. The garbage disposal was broken so the kitchen sink would not drain. After a bit of back and forth communicating with the Vicasa "bot" that can't handle atypical messages, they sent a maintenance person a day later and repaired it quickly. If a unit's maintenance or atmosphere is not important to you, this condo might be ok

The furniture in the living room needs to be updated. There was mold in the ceiing of the bathroom. Great location. Great view of the beach. Staff at resort were great. Response ommunication with Vacasa agent/owner was prompt. Someone came out to take care of mold issue.

There was mold on a door, mold on and in the master shower knob. The microwave door was broken and hanging when you opened it. Contacted the management company no one ever called or came to address issues and no refund for the condition on the property. Spend a little more for a better property!!!!!

Decent for price

The overall stay wasn’t bad for the price however I would not rent again due to the many issues that need to be fixed and better use of my money. The condo wa clean however it was outdated. The ottoman was broken, one of the twin beds was either broke or easily slipped off the rails. The washer didn’t want to drain but after messing with it we finally got it working. The sink backs up and doesn’t drain if the dishwasher is on. The shower head need to be changed as it shoots out water like a rocket on one side that made it hrs for my kids to shower. The tv kept going to a black screen. There were 0 blankets in the condo, thankfully we brought some. The faucet handle and door to the ac unit looked to have mold on it. Parts of the cabinetry and walls are in desperate need of repair and repainting. The biggest issue of all is there is no inside deadbolt for the door and the locks on the balcony doors were stiff or didn’t work. This is a major child safety hazard especially since my 2 yr old could open the door. The staff at pelican was unhelpful and rude. When my child lost their bracelet, I had to pay 25$ to replace it all because the staff put it on to loose. Do not waste your money here unless it’s a last minute trip. We loved the amenities but you can find those elsewhere.

Overall good

The condo was a little outdated , couches were old and stained , box spring on single bed was broke , garbage disposal didn’t work , rotted trim in bathrooms, cabinet in bathroom was rotted . Had a musky smell . The view was nice and air worked good .

Beautiful view of the ocean

Beautiful view of the ocean Along with the balcony is the best feature of the condo. Pretty palm trees and surrounding property kept nice. The condo itself was OK although kitchen lacked supplies and had to figure out can openers that were broken And icemaker that did not work very good. About 10 ice cubes a day. No toilet paper when we arrived. Mirrors and windows could have been cleaner. Glass table also.

Amazing stay

I really didn't know what to expect but I must say we were more than impressed with our stay. When you open the door that amazing view stole the show.. omggg just breathe taking. Everything was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and can't wait to stay again. Thank you for making our first trip to Destin one to remember. Everyone was friendly and access was easy and smooth.

Great family get away spot

We had a great view of the beach and of the town as well. Loved being on the beach and having great access to pools & hot tubs also. Great place for a relaxing family vacation. Either relax on the beach or have access to lots of fun activities, boat rides and restaurants close by.
