Sterling Shores is currently undergoing a beautification project, which includes work on all balconies and walkways throughout the property. Renovations are taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We have blocked off units that are directly affected, but some guests may still experience occasional floor grinding noise and light dust as the work progresses.

Project Updates:
* Balconies ending in 01 are currently closed and expected to reopen by February 19.
* Balconies ending in 02 are currently closed and expected to reopen by February 14.
* Floors 2 and 3 are closed and scheduled to reopen by February 28.
* The penthouse (PH) floor is tentatively scheduled for resurfacing from November 26–December 4, 2026. Light construction noise and dust may be present during this time.
* Roof work is tentatively scheduled from April through July 2026. While no major disruptions are expected, the timeline may shift due to weather conditions.

Great views, outstanding location!

We loved the location and space. There is plenty of room, the living room/dining room/kitchen area is very comfortable. The outdoor seating was very nice. The beach access and pools were perfect!

Great condo! Very spacious and fully equipped!

This condo was beautiful! The view is amazing with both sets of glass doors to the balcony and the huge window in the dining room! Very spacious and accommodating! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Box fans that were there for guests were great and there is one for each room! Very clean and well stocked. You won’t regret staying here! The grounds of Sterling Shores are beautiful as well. This is our 4th time staying at this place. Very nice and relaxing vacation!

If you your cake and the icing too while on vacation, you won’t get it here.

Overall this place isn’t terrible. The rental company made a mistake on how they described the ongoing construction. The construction made the entire stay tainted to say the least. I wouldn’t believe a word they say. Clearly there’s massive painting jobs at the building at wasn’t anything started yesterday. These plans have been in place long before we booked but yet we were not notified until after we booked and paid. We were not given a clear option for refund or otherwise. Once we arrived, we discovered the construction was much more than what was described in the emails. Construction workers banging and clanging right outside our guests window. Plastic on all railings rattling all day and night. I probably wouldn’t have wasted ANYMORE of my time if your stupid text prompt messages didn’t keep texting me asking me to.

Perfect family condo and location

We had 2 adults and three older teens. The location is ideal. Quick walk to pool, beach, candy shop and a restaurant. Quick drive to grocery, Walmart, liquor stores etc. the Publix grocery store makes awesome sub sandwiches, we rented a pontoon boat and went to Crab Island for the day, we grilled at the gas grills down by the pool, went to the Harbor for shops, meals and live music at night, great Mexican food at Pepitos, good meals at the Back Porch. Tips: Restaurants get busy starting at 5pm. Some had 2 hour waits! Wish I had known we needed to bring beach towels (we bought some at Walmart). And the condo was well supplied with dishes, glasses, pots and pans. But has NO other supplies. You’ll need TP, paper towels, and if you cool you’ll need everything: oil, seasonings, foil, coffee, filters, They give you enough D/W and laundry and dish soap for a day or two . Just need to prepare for a trip to the grocery if you’re staying for a week! Really great condo. Comfy beds, clean. Would recommmend.

Beautiful, clean condo

We had a girls trip and stayed in this condo. The view is amazing and the condo was clean and very spacious. The balcony is so large and we spent every night sitting there listening to the ocean and talking. It was such a wonderful trip and will definitely stay here again. Very convenient to the beach.

Beautiful property and a great stay with a few things needing addressed

This beautiful three bedroom/ three bathroom condo was very spacious for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. It was a very easy walk across the street to the beach and The Back Porch restaurant. There were two pools, one beachfront, and one in front of the condo. The one in front of the condo was huge and had a zero entry children’s side with a mushroom style fountain to play under. The kitchen was well-stocked. We had everything that we needed. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We did have an issue initially getting into the condo at check in due to the door code not working. This took four phone calls and a couple of hours to resolve through Vacasa because the lobby/ front desk wasn’t able to be reached (due to Covid I’m guessing). It was eventually reset and we were able to access the condo for the rest of the stay. A few other areas need to be looked into. The carpets were very dirty and in need of a deep cleaning or replacement. One area of carpet in one bedroom was pulling up, which was a trip hazard. The couch was also in need of a good cleaning. The dryer probably needs a new start switch as we had trouble getting it to run at first each time. The televisions were a challenge to turn on and get the cable going each time. We had to unplug and plug them in again a few times before they would work. Despite the initial check in and a few minor issues , it was a very nice stay and we would definitely go again!

Sterling Shores #712, Destin

We've stayed at Sterling Shores many times. With a larger group, unit 712 was perfect. Spacious, well decorated, beautiful view from the balcony, 2 pools, easy access to the beach, next to the Back Porch and Candymaker. Highly recommended! We hope to get this unit again.

Best Vacation ever 2021

Rooms and staff. Beach service. The best place for my family. This was my thirty second year of vacation and this was the best time ever. We are set to return next year at the same time. Security was great as always. Front desk was like family. Thanks to all.
