beautiful views, great location

We absolutely loved our stay in Islander 317....Beautifully updated, fantastic views from the balcony, and easy short walk to the beach without having to cross a busy street! Loved the location and won't hesitate to book again for future stays!

Relaxing!

Great trip

The unit was beyond our expectations. Very clean and updated! We had great views and the pools were nice. We never heard our neighbors or water thru the walls - great trip! I highly recommend this unit if you are traveling this way. Very easy access with great front office staff.

Short walk to the beach and with the chair and umbrella included it was a plus. Loved that there was two pool options and how close the condo was to attractions and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when in Destin.

Overall nice place!

The condo was very nice and clean. The listing says there is a washer and dryer in the unit. That is not true. They have a laundry service on tuesdays and thursdays. The bed in the master was not comfortable at all. My husband and i hardly slept the whole trip. Other than that, everything worked and the front desk was very accommodating.

Overall good

The check-in process could have been faster. Only having two elevators only sucked when arriving and departing. We took the stairs any other time. The property was also older than we anticipated but it worked out. The furniture was kind of dingy looking so we sat on towels but other than that it was good!

Beautiful Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No Keurig machine in the room, had to get coffee elsewhere. Loved Capriccios Café down the street. The walk to the beach is short and very nice. The view isn't terrible but would have loved a beach view, its blocked by other buildings. The condo was clean, beds and couch were comfortable for a 5 day stay, parking was good. Location was in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay here again but request to have a room closer to the elevator.

Great Property on the Emerald Coast!

We had a lovely stay this past week at the Islander 317. The Dennings were very nice people to work with and accommidating. While the weather could’ve been warmer for our spring break, the condo was very nice. Very close to the beach and had great heated pools. ( The Islander had friendly management, good laundry facilities etc. ) The linens and towels, etc. were all very comfortable. Our family of six had a very nice time. The beach is beautiful with powder white sand and we even kayaked with dolphins! Suggestions for the condo that could’ve helped overall: A cutting board, vegetable peeler, a new mattress on the fold out couch (the wire coils were very uncomfortable), better cookware (tried to make eggs and they stuck to pan), and the tub/shower need a good deep cleaning. Don’t let these suggestions deter you from staying here, the condo was wonderful but could be helpful for the next visitor. Would love to stay there again!

Nice unit

Our family enjoyed Destin and unit #317. The day of check-in was a bit crazy. There are only two elevators for the entire property, making it a scene similar to college move-in day. Once we had our stuff upstairs we just used the stairwell. The unit was nice and met our needs. We had an issue with the garbage disposal and they came and took care of it quickly. Front desk staff were ok, not quite as friendly or welcoming as you'd expect. We had upstairs neighbors that were quite noisy and opened/closed their sliding door non stop from 7am until 10/11pm. Facilities were kept up, clean. Use of chairs and umbrella down at the beach were nice. Property was close to things in Destin but off the main drag. Overall nice unit for the price and location.

The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and pool, plus close to shopping and restaurants. Our family loved the pickleball courts and organized activities. It was exactly as described, and we would definitely return!

Great room bad bad

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first went into the master bedroom we noticed there was what looked like a blood stain on the white blanket on the bed. We went to the front desk and the woman working the desk was very helpful and apologetic and found someone to get into the Islanders linen close. At first this second person told us they only had sheets and that we needed to just use whatever was in the closet in the room, however someone did end up coming to the room while we were out and removed the stained blanket and remade the bed with a fresh one. Next issue with the bed was when we actually got in it later that night. We laid down and immediately noticed that our feet were higher than our head ands that the bed frame was not level. We got out of bed and on the ground to look under the bed and tried to fix it ourselves the best we could. It looked like there was the original frame for the bed and then part of another metal frame that had just been set under the bed to try to provide extra support. Please just get a new solid frame for the master bedroom. Everything else about the condo was good. The bathrooms were clean, the kitchen had all the supplies we needed and we liked the overall decor.

We usually go Mid-May & Mid-October and it's perfect no crowds on the beach or restaurants. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and she has no problems getting on the beach.
