"This is a beautiful well cared for home and the owners are friendly and helpful. The area is very remote and quiet, perfect for a peaceful holiday to escape it all, however, the location does mean a fair bit of driving to find things to do. We were not aware of the 600 Euro cash deposit, which is required on arrival, at time of booking - this was a bit of a pain as meant changing up a lot more cash than we needed, and having to change it back on our return home. "Fabulous experience and highlight of our 3 weeks in Europe. Beautiful castle, fabulous dinner and breakfast and the experience was lovely and regal with our maître D. The grounds and historic site added to the weekend. Played tennis and will have to come back to enjoy the pool and hot tub when it is not raining. They are renovating some as well, but this is a well preserved piece of history while still have the charm you would expect from a castle. Better than all the modernized chateau’s."
