"We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). There are a couple of restaurants nearby, including a great Savoyarde spot across the street. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main village of...

"Food: good but expensive. Room: shockingly small although very clean. The worst aspect of the room was that there was no A/C which we would have expected for the price of the room. The area was noisy (loud music which we were not sure whether it was coming from the hotel or elsewhere) and the hotel is on a main road so our sleep was disturbed if we kept the balcony door open. In the end we decided to close it to have some peace but we were sweltering. I tried to call reception to ask about...

"Very unfortunate that there was no restaurant available on Sunday. Also the hotel restaurant needs to be reserved before you get to the hotel if not you have to look for some place where to have dinner because during weekend usually is completely booked. The rest of our stay was good, place is beautiful and town is close by and very beautiful. "

Every staff member was always nice and helpful. The convenience of the restaurant, cafe, etc. was important - also, what a beautiful park to walk through. "The room was small but the problem with the heat, plus the restaurant was closed however the swimming pool was an extra plus and all the restaurants in the village was closed because of the season. It was a good location for visiting the region."
