"Well organized property. Beautiful pools, amenities, transept& amenities at beach. Rooms dated, tired looking, have not been renovated since in over 20 years (as per sources). Could use updated, to complement surroundings & amenities. Limited supplies in kitchen. No coffee maker, toaster. Limited utensils, sharp knives for cutting. Limited housekeeping. Room cleaned, towels changed only twice during 10 day stay."

"We ended a Ciclismo Classico bike tour in Maratea and so enjoyed the relaxing surroundings at La Locanda delle Donne Monache. We tagged on 2 extra nights at the hotel…I could have remained there for an entire week!! The only “downgrade” is the firmness of the mattresses ( we stayed in 2 different rooms). I found the mattresses throughout our tour across southern Italy to be quite firm. No big deal, though, as we slept soundly and comfortably at La Locanda."

"Stunning historic property. The multitude of plants and flowers with vines growing on all of the old buildings were breathtaking. Very picturesque swimming pool area although the pool was very cold."

"We had an incredible stay here. The staff were so helpful and very responsive. Damiano is an asset to the hotel. We stayed in the room with a terrace , the terrace is large and had the most wonderful view. We made use of the private spa and massages which was an amazing experience. The hotel is a short walk ( down quite a few steps) from the main part of the old town. Quiet at night but close to all the sites. Would highly recommend. "

"Soggiorno piacevole, camere pulite e personale molto professionale. Note dolenti: letto matrimoniale composto da due letti singoli , stanza non insonorizzata e assenza di tapparelle per ridurre la luce nelle prime ore del mattino. Il tutto però è stato superato dalla gentilezza del personale e dalla colazione abbondante e veramente deliziosa, che ha soddisfatto tutte le nostre esigenze. Consigliato!"

"What a joke. They advertise all these wonderful amenities and when we arrived there was absolutely nothing available. No spa, no beach, no tennis, no laundry facilities, no hair salon. We would never have stayed here if we had know. When we complained they offered us a free drink! I have complained through the hotel and the refuse to respond and tried to get a refund from Expedia with no luck. Don't go to this hotel if you are expecting lots to do.....there is nothing!"
