"Kitchen was sparse. No coffee maker only espresso machine. We enjoyed our stay. Slept great. Papaya restaurant nearby was our favorite. Staff in Merlin restaurant below the hotel was always friendly and greeted us with a wave and smile but never came over to take our order so on three different occasions we got up and went somewhere else. Is there a cultural thing we’re missing here ?"

"There was nothing we didn't like about the Bungalows! They were very clean, comfortable and the view from the deck was gorgeous. Our hosts, Alfred and Sonia, were so helpful and generous. "We had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect-very easy to walk to everything, but very quiet and peaceful. Tammy was a fabulous host, helping us with everything from restaurant recommendations (which were all great!) and even driving us to one of the locations which was quite far from town and to the airport. "Beware! This hotel is not in central Bocas Town, even though that is where the Expedia map and the "View in a map" function shows the hotel to be. The hotel is actually on Isla Pastores, which is at least a 30 min boat ride from Bocas Town. The hotel is not at all convenient for the main Bocas del Toro attractions, such as snorkeling, surfing, Starfish beach, Red Frog beach, Zapatilla Islands, etc. The hotel appears to be trying to lure customers into thinking that it is centrally located....
