Hotel was wonderful and the price was so reasonable. It was in the middle of a quaint fortress old town just a couple of blocks from the Rhine River. It was super close to the train station. It made us feel like we were living 10 centuries ago but yet the hotel was totally updated and very comfortable. Would love to go back.

Simply wonderful experience. The Grand Hotel is family owned and almost everyone participates. They are at the front counter one day and serving you food at the hotel restaurant that evening. The hotel is based on providing a wonderful spa experience. We didn't get a massage but used the sauna's, indoor [colder] pool, the outdoor [hotter] water pool with multiple water jets, and the lounge rooms and loved them all. Stayed 4days/3 nights.Took some getting used to. 1st flr reception&restaurant are modern, but the rest was more medical than 'spa'. Not what we were expecting, so took time to appreciate. Rooms-simple, spacious,comfortable&very clean. Furniture in great shape. Bathroom had window to room reducing privacy. BUT you see balcony view, so appreciated the decision. We paid extra for valleyview & it didn't disappoint! Altho a little loud at times w/tractors,cows&cars, but it was gorgeous &every sunset...

The check in person, Melanie I think, was tremendous. She was so kind and so helpful.

Reasonable place for the given price. No HVAC in rooms

The property is set up for sporting events and has lots of activities. As well as a number of sports venues attached to or nearby the hotel.
