The resort was not small by any means, but felt intimate. The staff made you feel special, they took the time to remember your preferences and your name. The resort is very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again

WOW.. where do we begin!!!! Such an incredible resort with amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the extra money. Marolin and staff at the reception desk helped us make and change reservations for excursions, drove us on golf carts back and forth to our room and made us feel so warm and welcomed. so I loved this hotel the first few nights. But there is a lot of stuff that I need to warn others. There's nothing to do here besides a few nature walks. There is a lovely fireplace in each cabin and the cabins are lovely but there is a very very long and bumpy ride to get to the villa. I literally cringe thinking about this 45 minute road just to get access to the property. The service is great, the food is great but it's all very VERY expensive. This was my favorite hostel out of all the hostels I stayed in in Costa Rica. The blending of beautiful scenery with a bar overlooking the river and the hamburgers were amazing and so are the night walks!!

This place blew us away!! The pictures of the place did not do it justice. When we rolled through the entry gate into the "compound" we felt like we were entering another world- tropical, spacious, colorful, finely manicured and detailed in every way. We loved this hotel. Staff were super friendly and helped us book local tours. There's a great soda across the street with excellent food. The beds are pretty hard but my husband and I shared a king size bed which gave us a lot of space. There's a little bar on the second floor that makes excellent pina coladas with fresh pineapple. So cool. Totally different than a hotel but just as clean. If you go to Monteverde, USE A 4X4. And do Extremo Canopy. I also heard 100% Adventure was really good but Extremo was the coolest thing in 20 days we've done in CR.
