This was our first night in our UK trip and was arguably the best place we could stay to introduce us to this country. Our room was small but the stone walls and lovely decor made it feel simultaneously rustic and contemporary. The bathroom was well designed and had a wonderful shower that was just what we needed after 15 hours of travel. The bed was a dream, I haven’t slept that well in a long time. The bathroom was really clean with quality fixtures. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. It's on an old farm on the outskirts of town so it was really quiet.

This property is beyond a ten in every way, it is everything an English country cottage should be. The village is delightful and the local pubs and people are very friendly. Lots of lovely walks. We were sad to leave.

This was an amazing treat! Four sisters coming together from all sides of the globe to have a fun countryside experience! We booked the family suite and it was perfect! From the arrival glass of bubbles to the evening meal and audio house tour - amazing! Wish we had stayed longer!

Lovely place to be. The room may be small but you'll love the feel of the home. The shower is usually a concern of mine when traveling. Didsbury park did a wonderful job at bringing a modern feel while keeping the warmth of a historic edifice. I had breakfast each day outside as the weather was phenomenal for the UK. I half expected the Queen to show up. (she didn't, kind of a curmudgeon.) I will have a honeymoon here someday, once I get over the whole idea of being married .

I saved up for this trip for years, so decided I would splurge a few times on hotels and the Cavendish was one of them. I was not disappointed! The room was huge, beautiful, comfortable, with all amenities, clean and did I mention gorgeous? I had a lovely view, the light was excellent, the bed was heaven. We drove up to the hotel I had booked and my partner was immediately disappointed to have arrived at a Holiday Inn located in an office park, but by day 4 of our visit to the Wigan area to visit friends and family, we both appreciated how great a spot we had found for our stay. Great hotel and amazing service

The Manor still retains the features of the original building. The furnishings are rich in colour and beautifully coordinated. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and curtious. The standard of food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I shall certainly be back!
