"Room had mould and not very clean. Paid for bed and breakfast but we had to leave early and they couldn’t provide breakfast, again tried to charge us again on the way out. Music was blasting all night and got no sleep. "

"We stayed for 3 nights, we were out and about most of the time so didn’t eat or use the bar but the staff were excellent and very helpful when we asked for things at reception. The renovation didn’t impact us at all and it’s nice to see that they’re bringing the decoration up to date. Our room was clean, modern, spacious and well equipped and the lounge was a blessing. We really enjoyed our stay and won’t hesitate to book here the next time we are in town."

"My second stay here and the experience both times has been very similar. It is a stunning building in beautiful grounds. Some of the staff are really nice but some really couldn't care less. On this trip the gentleman on breakfast just barked "room number" when I approached. He didn't offer me any tea or coffee either - although I heard him offer someone else some. "Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens.
