"Spacious apartment. Good connections for excursions in the area of Baie de Somme. Right next to the old town of Abbeville for a coffee on the terras or a baguette from the local bakery. Indoors the résidence it is quite warm, probably why it is a retirement home. All-in-all recommended."

"Despite the booking confirmation saying check-in was open until 1900, we arrived at 1615 only to find it shut until 1800 - duh - nearly every other hotel I've stayed in welcomes guests from 1500 at the earliest...to compound the problem, I received a text from the hotel the evening after we had left telling us what the check-in times were! "Very quirky property, traditional French style in middle of St Valery with everything this beautiful town has to offer on the doorstep. Public parking available on the road just up from hotel. We stayed in Lawrence of Arabia suite which was interesting. Room to spread out in living area. Breakfasts are fantastic, with lovely fresh produce. Lovely host. "

"Stayed at Saint Valery Sur Somme. This is a wonderful place, full of history and plenty of things to do and see. The Gite is clean, tidy, comfortable and handy for everything in Saint Valery. Would love to visit Saint Valery again and also stay at the fisherman's house again."
