"I had an amazing stay at Planet Hollywood Royalton Resort! I received a free upgrade to an ocean view room for my birthday, which made the trip extra special. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were very friendly and informative, sharing all the details about the resort and its amenities. The room was spotless, modern, and beautifully updated. There was daily entertainment at the pool and fun activities every night, which made the stay lively and enjoyable. The only downside was the alcohol at the pool, which wasn’t as good as the drinks served in the lobby and restaurants — those were excellent! The food was delicious and freshly prepared each day, with plenty of great options. Overall, I highly recommend this resort and would definitely visit again!"

If you need to stay close to San José or are looking for a truly special place to host an event, it really doesn’t get much better than the Marriott Hacienda Belén. The resort blends classic hacienda architecture with modern luxury, giving you the feeling of stepping back into old Costa Rica—without sacrificing a single comfort. From the hand-painted ceramics and tranquil courtyards to the grand neoclassical pools and sprawling tropical gardens, every detail is beautifully executed. The food is consistently five-star, and I always look forward to dining here. A special shout-out to Saray at reception, who worked her magic to get me into my room early before a big event and later helped me extend my stay—because one night just wasn’t enough! The staff here are friendly, professional, and always go above and beyond. Pura Vida, Marriott Hacienda Belén never disappoints "

"I would come back to this resort! Our room was nice and clean, although it had a stuffy slightly mildew smell… That might be partly because of the tropical environment? The beds were comfortable and we slept well and the AC worked well, too. The bar staff was amazing! They were extremely friendly and attentive and gave great service and the pools were all nice and clean. The Japanese restaurant was closed when we were there, and the steakhouse was not good at all, but we were very pleasantly surprised with the buffet options every morning and night! The front desk was attentive and responded to our needs promptly… There was an active hornet nest on our balcony that they removed within hours while we were down at the pool! The RIU Fun events were nice, although they never seemed to start on time. During the day while we were hanging out at the pool bar or lounging that didn’t really matter too much, but it would’ve been nice to know that we didn’t need to show up on time to the evening events because we ended up waiting around. Once we figured out that the timing of things went a little late, we adjusted our plans and had a great time!"
