Mazar Pyramids Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We absolutely loved our stay here! We were a little hesitant about the location when booking, but it ended up being perfect. We had a private driver and tour guide throughout our trip, which made getting around easy, and the hotel itself exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooftop restaurant alone is worth staying here for the food was soo good, and the views were absolutely incredible, especially at sunset. They don’t serve alcohol, which is typical in general for the culture but they offer a variety of non alcoholic cocktails you could easily add your own travel sized bottles to make a drink. The pool area was beautiful and our room was huge. We especially enjoyed having a private Jacuzzi, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Others had mentioned the street noise, but it didn’t bother us. The breakfast each morning was also great, especially being included, with plenty of options. Overall, this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would happily stay here again."

"The host at the rooftop is excellent. The guy (Muhammed) working the late evening front desk shift until the morning is very helpful, speaks good English, and overall honest. The girl working the front desk is a liar very dishonest. My dining bill was 1887 egyptian pounds (I gave the host a tip on the table) and decided on her own to round up my tab. I paid it because she said she had no change. When I paid my taxi to the airport again they had no change so I did not accommodate her scheme. I gave a tip to the taxi driver directly. The only reason I'd advise not to stay here again is because it's 22 minutes away from the new museum and about 25 minutes away from Sphinx. 45 minutes from the Airport with no food options within walking distance. We tried walking to a corner store and restaurant but the side streets were dirt and no one could understand us on how to reach the restaurant. The alleys had been bricked off where the map thought it was a road to pass through."

"The property is a gorgeous building with lovely decor, with plenty of green outdoor space and 2 swimming pools perfect for all ages. The atmosphere is fantastic in all aspects, from the welcome all the way through to the staff and other customers. The main desk staff are very helpful in dealing with all situations, and the other staff are so hard working. Management should feel proud to call them employees! We only ate at the hotel once, this was only due to our sleep patterns being out from the open times... the food was tasty and decent value. The kids play toys are aimed at closer to toddler aged children and would be amazing to see things for slightly older children e.g swings, seesaw etc. The swimming pools are kept clean and a great place to go during the day/evening/night. There is an onsite shop, pricing seems very fair. The hotel also has connections to tours which they can help with. We already had ours booked so didnt make use of this. My issues with the property are generally superficial in that some rooms could do with some finishing touches and some of the showering areas could have been built better (not the case in all rooms)... i personally wasnt a fan of having marble based flooring in the bathroom especially near the showers as it gets easily wet and very slippery. Wifi could be a bit better (this is an egyptian connection issue rather than just as this hotel) The same goes for regular power cuts...all of this is out of control of the hotel "

Tunis Pyramids Hotel

"Lovely place it looks like it closer to the faiyum than the photos show. The pool was nice and clean although we were the only non modest guest which made my wife uncomfortable to wear a bikini. The bed was nice but the air-conditioning dripped on our head all night, not sure why but we couldn't sleep.. Also the hot water was turned off at night so I couldn't have a warm shower. It would also be good for them to have a mosquito repellent/ fogger as we were bitten every night. The breakfast options were nice Drinks were great and staff were very kind The town is lovely and it's a good location for being somewhat close "
