"Staff let me stash my bags while I explored the castle for 5 hours, and then again after checkout while I walked around town. Room was super clean, and the shower was the best I've had in awhile. Also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was a full meal and not just a pastry. View from the room was pretty great, too. Heads up to open a window when you shower, or the bedroom will fill up with steam. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Berat."

"Excellent location, amazing staff. On location supervised by the owners. Very friendly and caring. Very nice breakfast. The staff helps you with your luggage to your room. Walking distance to Excellent Cafe and Restaurants. Beautiful rooms & a lovely balcony. Huge park opposite the Hotel, great for family with kids."

"Check-in staff was helpful and outgoing. The night shift guy was not helpful when we tried informing him that our A/C in our room was not functioning correctly. He kept making excuses rather than moving us to another room and suggested we deal with it since we were only staying two nights. After being adamant about not staying another night in a hot room, we were provided another room which was upgraded and had a great AC unit. This was a nice gesture, just wish the hotel staff had been more considerate of our concerns initially. Otherwise, the hotel stay was great and in an amazing area. Check-out staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Would stay again and recommend to others!"

"35 countries under my belt so trust me when I say this hotel is a good one. If you’re gonna be in Berat this is the one to choose. The view down the promenade from the rooftop restaurant is fantastic. Wonderful way to start the day each breakfast. Good location overall, nice park across street, and nice view of the Colombo hotel dome from the same rooftop outdoor deck. Great breakfast. Staff is perfect. Only improvement they could make immediately is get some ice machines on property. Don’t know what the deal is with all of Albania getting ice anywhere including hotels, or napkins at most meals or drink orders, but that’s nonsense by the rest of the developed world standard. This is NOT a plaza hotel issue, but since seeing it in other hotels and cities before coming to Berat, we notice it. This hotel borders on perfection regardless. :)"

"The staff were excellent and the bed and shower were great. I had a minor issue with the room kettle that was sorted asap and the night receptionist was brilliant when we had to leave suddenly in the middle of the night due to a medical emergency back in the UK. The rooftop pool and bar were good with spectacular views. The breakfast was plentiful, though some of it wasn't kept very warm. I recommend the pooltop bar food for lunch, dinner and cocktails. I really enjoyed the dedicated beach area though the waves were a bit too powerful for me (might be the time of year)."
