The Ali Pasha Bridge is located near the beautiful town of Gjirokastra in Albania. You can easily hike there within 30 minutes and you can be pretty sure not to meet any other tourists.
The bridge was part of a larger aqueduct complex commissiones in the early 19th century by Ali Pasha of Tepelenë. Tje aqueducts fed the castle's cisterns with water from the Mount Sopot. Gjirokastra didn't have water at this time and Alia Pasha discerned the need of this structure.
The aqueduct was mostly destroyed in 1932, but this section remains.

"It was amazing, cuisine and service were great, nice surroundings with possibility to swim in the crystal clear river just few meters from your room."

"Absolutely stunning view from the patio, you cannot beat the location, quietness and views. About a 12 minute walk to the bottom of the castle, shops and restaurants. Guesthouse is quiant and kept very clean. There were a few ants on our beds each day but i think its more location then cleanliness. The only trouble I had was even though I messaged with the manager the night before and gave her an approximate time of arrival....i messaged when we arrived and no one arrived to check us in until...

"Claimed not to have our booking for two rooms for two nights - not sure if them or hotels.com. Offered us one room for the three of us - not ideal, I’m convinced they did have other spare rooms. The location is ok. It wasn’t particularly clean and the Wi-Fi only worked occasionally. Not impressed. "

"Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Parking was a bit of a faff as we weren’t told where to go. But the hotel had a great atmosphere and was nicely located to walk around Gjirokaster. "

"Situated in the old city centre just below the castle. It has perfect location to explore the city. Rooms are ok and nicely equipped. Breakfast is amazing and staff is very friendly. "

"Evertthing was perfect. A little misunderstanding was solved thé next day. Do not look further and book here. You Will not be disappointed!"

"Great room for the price with accommodating hosts right near the heart of the city. Could do with curtains or blinds as gets very bright in the morning due to sun direction, and also a shower curtain. Plumbing in upstairs bathroom is a bit weird also, and requires toilet flushes to operate the sink. Overall, I would stay here again. Wonderful setting for a hotel and the hosts made it."

"I liked that it was only 3-4 minutes walk away from the bustle of night activity but far enough away to sleep peacefully at night. There was nothing I disliked about my stay."

"My family and I booked three rooms at Furra and had a wonderful stay! The rooms were recently renovated and are very clean. The restaurant downstairs had excellent food and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Furra if you're visiting Gjirokaster! The street can get loud at night but if you're there to vacation and enjoy festivities, you'll be in the crowd anyway. "

"Loved this hotel and will definitely be back again. As a solo female traveller i was made to feel safe and the staff at the hotel went over and above to assist me with everything. Particularly in respect of linking my taxi up in time for the bus in dhermi. The hotel owner and bar staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with stunning views. Drinks a little on the pricy side but that is the only negative. Will definitely be back again. "

Oasis in Sarande

"This hotel was brilliant. Friendly service from check in to departure. Room was clean and comfortable with a balcony. Only 19 rooms and a large terrace and private beach which was for guests only meant it was incredibly relaxing. The terrace overlooks the sea and the sunsets were spectacular! I’d recommend Buze hotel and I will definitely be coming back! Thank you to all the lovely staff for an exceptional stay. "
